What kind of content would excite you?
Alongside dungeons, I would like to see Fractals/Special Missions that were like the Bonus Mission Packs of GW1. I’d honestly love to have dungeons/fractals/special missions that gave you the form of a different character with different skills – such as all 5 members of Destiny’s Edge or something.
I’ve offered this suggestion before, it’s just something I keep wanting to happen.
an expansion like Factions or Nightfall
Short of a total expansion – at least seeing the rest of Tyria open and explorable. (oh and not kitten like Southsun is)
A monthly content addition of any kind. Look at the LS archive, how many events did they spend time scripting that can’t be accessed? Makes absolutely zero sense. That’s content that could have expanded the game. Because of the decision to make basically the entire first two years of content development temporary content with the exception of just a few zones, we have mostly a launch day game still but with an inflated economy and a large number of annoyed customers.
Pressing 1 over and over again. It’s the whole reason I got GW2!
1) events like marionette (that combine dividing a large zerg onto 20-ish man groups, with 5-man party play)
2)new dungeons with interesting mechanics like the original aetherblade retreat dungeon (not the fractal).
3) new permanent jump puzzles (one of my favorite aspects of GW2) of medium difficulty (somewhere between the easy stuff in LA and the southsun /atherblade one .
MARA (EU) Gunnar’s Hold
At this point, and with my current luck in the dungeons with the groups I’ve had – current Dungeons made to scale down for solo players… that I would be happy with for a good while.
After that, new zones that are at least as big as the current largest maps in game; complete with new DEs, Hearts (maybe), Vistas and POIs. New karma merchants in the zones with zone specific armor and weapons.
And those already mentioned in the poll.
Anything short of that is just “eh” and lackluster.
if you would ask me to tell you the 5 biggest things that I’d like to have now as new content, it would be these things:
1) Sub Classes and a new playable Race – the Tengu and new third Soldier Class – the Knight with adding more new Weapons as like existing older Weapons to the current Classes (but not all Weapons for all Classes, hell no to that)
Stuff like Halberds (with the Knight), Claws, Chakrams, Quarterstaffs, Crossbows, Great Axes, Whips/Chain Sickes or Tonfas and Fans would be great.
2) New explorable Maps, like the Maguuma Jungle, or the Crystal Desert and the old Eye of the North Regions (includes also new Heroic Fractals that are from their Gameplay working like the Bonus Mission Pack, special Solo/Group Fractals that let you replay certain thigns of the Past, like the Novel Books Ghosts of Ascalon and Destinies Edge…
Includes also new Dungeons, like for example a special Underwater Dungeon
3) Housing/Guild Halls/Towns
4) Mounts & Crusades as like other new Guild Content
5) Significant Improvements for WvW, like a real Commander System, completely redesigned different Borderlands, lots of new WvW Skills and additinos to the current ones to 10 tiers of Perks, Class Specific WvW Skills, new Siege Weapons, more Upgrades, more Traps and what not all, so that WvW makes finally ussage of all its potential for becoming a great guild wars themed real time strategetic Fantasy-War Simulation and less of a Zerg Fest
These things put in together in 1 big Expansion would be just jaw dropping awesome
Lots of, or at least a few, ‘quests’ like the ‘Black Moa Chick’ from GW1.
New skills and new traits. Specifically a trait which could compete in power against Berserker’s Power.

I voted, but there’s some stuff I’d like to add/suggest:
Rework the dungeons to be solo-friendly, at least on the story path. Then, add in difficulty adjusters for all dungeon paths, achievements for certain feats within all the dungeons, and titles for getting either all the achievements in one dungeon or all related feats in all dungeons.
Allow laurels to be traded in for 20 dungeon tokens, IF you’ve cleared story mode for that dungeon (note the previous request for them being solo friendly).
Personal and guild housing. I know it was on your list, but it can’t be said enough.
Upgradable weapons. At (for example) level 20 your character gets a “basic” sword/staff/dagger/whatever they pick. Every 15 levels or so, you get a series of tasks you can do to infuse your weapon with better stats. The appearance can change as you add or alter parts of the weapon, possibly taking it through several styles as it develops. Some of the items required are account-bound items made by crafting. You can get them in other ways (such as a more difficult recipe in the Mystic Forge), but crafting is the easiest way. This rewards you for having all crafting professions covered, as well as giving you a weapon that grows as you do.
Improved chat system and emotes. Seriously, ANet, turn down the range on both of these, and give us some chat channels we can set up and use.
[Edit] Also, chained hearts/quests. Basically, storylines within a zone that have to do with what goes on in that zone/area. Either by giving a series of quests like the personal story does, or by having the completion of one heart unlock the ability to do another, allowing you to move across the zone and “advance” events. For example, the first heart could be to protect a farm from some bandits. That leads to a heart where you fight the bandits out in the wilderness, giving you a feel for where they’re coming from. Third heart is to fight them in/near their camps, where you can hear some of them talking about “the boss”. The third heart NPC, when cleared, will sell the key to a mini-dungeon where you go to take on the boss.

That is a great idea. Not only would it be adding more skins to the game but it would draw more people out for map completion across Tyria. Only down side I see to this is it would take away from NCsoft’s profits in the Gem shop where nearly all new skins go.
I understand that this is designed to be a multi-player game, but I enjoy most of my time spent solo. I would like there to be more solo content, specifically solo dungeons.
And a once-around-the-world account-wide World Map Completion! I have 9 characters. As a die-hard completion-ist it kills me to have to force myself to do the same thing on every single one of them. I know I don’t have to, but… I HAVE TO!
