Well the end of 2013 is close, and as we hope new skills will be added, my hoped was renewed with the fractal update coming next. I play guardian and mesmer, and I know what kind of skills I would like, I am a PvE player so do not look at these skills from WvW point of view, however I tried to make them as balanced as possible.

For Guardian
Symbol of Life – Create symbol of life at target location, it heals downed allies with each pulse. Similar to Engineers toobelt skill for one of elixirs.
Punishing Surge – Surge your foe with a ray of light, drain time on their boons while increasing time on their conditions.
Protective Spirit – Apply protective spirit to nearby allies for 7 seconds, players under this buff gain protection for 2 seconds every time they attack, duration does not stack.
Staff of judgement – Summon stuff of judgement that applies regeneration to allies and weakness to foes. Command – Command staff to explode and deal AoE damage.
Aura of Aegis – Apply aura of Aegis to nearby allies, aura blocks 3 attacks, if all 3 blocks are consumed it explodes and deals damage, if not it expires and cures 1 condition.

For Mesmer
Illusionary Archer – Summon illusionary archer that attacks foes and inflicts vulnerability.
Mantra of Madness – Read mantra of madness that will inflict 3 random conditions on your foe Power Perplex – inflict 3 random conditions on foe that last for 5 seconds.
Illusionary Steps – Run up in air towards your foe, then jump down and stun foes for 2 seconds.
Trick – Gain stealth and summon 3 clones that approach your foe from different directions.
Illusion of Weakness – Summon a downed clone of you while you gain stealth.

The general consensus is that the new healing skill will count as the new skill we get as part of 2013.

We may get an additional skill added in 2014 if we spend enough money on gems.

I think the right time to add more skills isn’t going to come for at least 6 months. Consider what it would do to the balance…

Personally, I would like it if they released a new weapon or two, and made one more weapon available for each profession. New weapons is something that they’ve said that they’re going to add eventually, and I really want a Hammer on my Engineer, or a 2h Axe on my Warrior…

Better elites!

Guardian: first… buff the Book elites to be more worthy…
(New Elite) “Holy Veil”: Become a ray of light that heals allies and pulses [might, fury and vigor (3 Seconds each boon)] or [aegis, regeneration and protection (2 seconds each boon)] depending on the Skill activated. You pulse boons every 4 seconds while pulse healing every 2 seconds. You also get increased toughness and vitality and lose Conditions( every 2 seconds) in this form. (think an anti-plague)

Elementalist: Buff tornado And…
(New Elite) “Master of Magic” : Become an elemental Master and gain Stability for the duration. You are able to use all 4 elements at the same time and gain a 10% damage increase to your current Attunement. You also lose all Conditions and gain a small amount of hp while under “Master of Magic”

Warrior: Buff war banner so it grants 1 Stack of might every 3 seconds [Might lasts for 5 seconds each]
(New Elite) “Skull Crack”: Strike your foe with a mighty blow that deals tremendous damage. Causes a unique condition; deep wound ( lessens healing (doesn’t Stack w/ poison) and decreases maximum HP by 10% ) and also dazes the target for 2(1/2) seconds.

Necromancer: (New Elite) “Signet of the Lich”: [signet] active: summon 10 bone minions that automatically cause a death nova when killed. The nova also causes burning (the nova does more damage than the trait. Doesn’t stack with the death nova trait). Bone minions still alive explode after 15s. passive: Condition damage, power and toughness are
increased.

Thief: “Deadly Paradox”: You ambush your foe. You shadow step to your foe, immobilize, steal and deliver a strong attack. You also blind nearby foes, but you gain revealed for 5 seconds.

Mesmer: “Panic”: You channel and cannot move during the duration of casting. You gain stability. For 8 seconds, foes that look at you are dazed. Channeling is cancelled when you move. Haste does not affect this skill. (max 8 targets) (is not affected by the trait "Confounding Suggestions)

I can’t think of other profession elites right now. But we should definitely get better elites and buff some current ones too

For all professions: A signet with a passive 25% movement speed. Reason? Some professions miss out on this vital movement speed, and for something that should be available to all professions in my opinion, it’s unfair that some miss out.

For the Mesmer: some sort of trait that increases the stealth duration significantly. like 25% or 50% longer.

Changes to skills:

I’d like to see Avatar of Melandru changed so that it doesn’t replace your skills with ones you have to constantly remind yourself (or wiki) what they are when you transform into that oak creature…thing. Just make it so that perhaps your character changes into the appearance of Melandru – like in GW1, whilst keeping the stability. This way I might actually be tempted to use it as an elite skill.

I’d also like to see Reaper of Grenth changed to something like this:

Poisoned (5s) 267 damage, -33% heal effectiveness
Fear (2s) enemies within a radius of 300 are feared
Duration: 10 seconds
Unblockable

I’d also like to see a water trait like this for the elementalist:

5% of power is given as a bonus to vitality.

Ranger elite:

Laz0r Signet: PASSIVE – All ranged attacks are instant an do extra laz0r damage. ACTIVE – Call down a massive pwnlaz0rbeam from the heavens dealing (10,000 base damage) to up to 5 foes.

Dont expect anything tbh, I bet the heal skill is the only one we get and will be useless in most situations in the future.
