Guild Wars 2

Very nice of Anet to give us that item, I’m considering leveling a Thief so that would make it alot faster. Those early levels can be so long sometimes.

What did you use it on?

I think it’s a neat item but poorly executed. Having tried all of the professions, you can’t really know if you’ll like it or not until at least 15-20, sometimes longer. Free lvl 2-20 means that you have to use it right away to get its maximum potential, and that could mean wasting it on a profession you don’t like.

They should have made it useable on any lvl 20+ character, leveling it up to 40. Still a free 20 levels but useable once you unlock the weapon skills and some utilities and get a grasp on the class.

My 5th/last slot will probably be a mesmer or guard and I still havent leveled asura yet. I’m actually already messing around with a thief and necro but both are too high already to use the boost.
I wish it was just a free 20 skill points or any 20 levels, but whatever it was free. If they update it and put it on sale for gems I’d buy many. Time saved >>> $.

Why is a lvl 20 in a 5k chest anyway? Shouldn’t it have been in the 500 or 1000 chest as those people are more than likely to be new players with less than 8 toons?

No use for it currently. 7 of my 8 characters are level 80. The one missing is lvl 40+.

Wish it offered some benefit to characters bellow level 80. Maybe offer “fewer” levels, so it wouldn’t be a “save till lvl 60” thing, but something.

That said, free is free. Maybe one day I’ll feel like leveling another character for some reason or another.

If it takes getting to 20 to know you don’t like a profession, then having a boost that allows you to find out sooner, still saves you 20 levels no matter what. I think it was well conceived and a great addition to reward for play in the game.

I have something like 15 characters and have no immediate plans to buy another slot. It’s sitting in my bank for that rainy day. But, I still feel very much rewarded for having received it.

I’m guessing that’s extensively the point. It’s not meant to make your first leveling run easier, just a bonus for alts.

If you just want to play with a new class’s skills theres always heart of the mists at level 2 for free. Thats how I decided not to make an asura thief because of the rediculous sword animation.

My only character that could use it at the moment is already level 16. I’d feel like I was wasting it if I used it there, so I think I’ll just hang on to it for now. Still, nice item, much appreciated. Thanks, anet! Also for the makeover kit. Very cool.

I only got one profession at level 80 and that is a Guardian, and the second highest is a Ranger on level 48, and then I got two others at level 14 – 16.

I don’t really know what profession I should use it on, nor what race I want either, since most of my characters are Humans, and I got one Charr.

I deleted the chest with my silly face so… none xD

I lvled every class to 10, cause that only takes an hour, this should of been of +20lvl scroll

I used it on my warrior and it definitely grants skill points. I went from level 2 to 20 and 0 to 18 skill points. You get all of the benefits of leveling (trait points, skill points, skill slots) without actually having to spend the time leveling.

Elementalist, human. Because I’m going to kitten people off by leveling it in WvW for the remaining 60 lvls.

I purchased the collectors edition of gw2, so when I created my ele, I was able to level him up to 20 right away by using the bank golem to grab the scroll. In the starter sylvari instance I was level 20 and wasn’t scaled down. Everything was getting killed in one shot. And the dragon died very quickly.

Fun times were had.
