I use Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) but I will warn you that if you have a laptop, it glitches and shows only a black screen unless you right-click your GW2 shortcut and select to open with your high-end graphics processor before doing the same with the shortcut for OBS in that order.

It’s annoying, but it does the trick. It’s some stupid glitch where it doesn’t recognise that you’re using the same graphics adapter when in reality you are. Aside from that, it’s a great program and I highly recommend it.

I use DXTory.
Work well, with less or none CPU usage in uncompressed mode. (Lagarith)
But you need a very fast harddisc. x3
Good to record zerg events too. You have the cpu power for gw2 and not for realtime compression like Fraps doing it. >_>
And you have many options to configurate the recordings.

But it will cost a bit.

I use fraps.
Easy to handle, good quality and with fullversion the best i’ve tried so far.

I use the one that comes with Geforce video cards, the video cards themselves have special hardware in them to handle video recording. So I can record at 1080p without a framerate hit. it’s called shadowplay.
