Duh… final chapter gives us an info about Battle for LA, and probably defeating Scarlet, but so many questions remain unanswered.

What’s under Lion’s Arch? Why did she need such a huge drill for it?
If we stop Scarlet, will the mystery stay bellow LA for good, or until Taimi decides she wants to take over?

I though we’d get all these answers before we finish the plot… By the looks of the video and past experience March 4th will mean just more prolonged battles in LA….

looking at the new atlas site (so further then the video), the drill has an interior. So it is very obvious we will get in. But as it should the questions you are asking are supposed to be answered in game. Wait and see.

I’m surprised someone hasn’t given the standard response yet, but then the forums are better than map-chat at times.

As for what Scarlet is really after? She’s probably not trying to find something as much as trying to free something.

It isnt said what she is drilling..its another silly cliff hanger that we have to wait 2+ weeks to get the answer to.

This is one of the PRIME reasons that living story just won’t work…Tell a few bits of the story, and leave the rest to imagination. Many unanswered questions. Cliff hangers are good, but not every two weeks for every single LS update. Thats bad story telling. The best authors and writers in history do not use cliff hangers repeatedly. These little cliff hangers leave everything disjointed.

Lions arch has a mass amount of it. Also access to the eye of the north is below LA.

Yes. Like so many of us, Scarlet has a score to settle with the quaggan haters among us.

I love to see some one do an overlay of what was there in GW1 compared to what scarlet is drilling on. Has any one tried this?

I couldn’t disagree more, they have made the LS feel like a TV show. Every 2 weeks I log in and play my way through the next episode, they don’t ruin the story by giving me everything up front and they keep you interested by going with cliff hanger endings instead of happily ever after endings.

Wouldn’t it be funny if, after all her work, all the death and destruction…. Scarlet’s sensor was simply … wrong?

She is looking for the leylines. If you paid any attention at all you would know that. It might even have something to do with the bloodstones.

Actually, somewhere it says that underneath Lion’s Arch is the mother of all ley line intersections. This is what she’s after. We know that’s what she’s after, we just don’t know why.

It looks like Cthulhu is involved somehow.

well in gw1 we went underground to get to the eye of the north so maybe were going after jormag but i suspect shes trying to drain magic from the ley line to make a dragon appear possibly the one who speaking in her mind

She’s going to drill to the heavens.
Problem is currently the Dragons would take her down considering where they are positioned.
So the only way up… is down!
Doing the impossible, Scarlet plans on drilling straight through to the other side of Tyria. Then burst through and up to the sky!

Kick logic to the curb, that’s how team Scarlet Quaggan rolls!
Guild Wars Drill Breakaaaaaa!

In the camp near north entrance for Lions Arch in Gendaran Fields, there is a npc called “Ela Makkay” she says: “I’ve been authorized to inform fellow Priory that Scarlet has found not only a leyline, but an intersection of several. The amount of power flowing beneath Lions Arch must be unbelievable”

“finding a cure or barrier” that made me think of the barrier at the harbor around that heavily protected house, that house was also in one of the personal stories I believe.
