No mention is made of the Magic Find on Celestial gear. Is it just going away with no points added to some other stat? I didn’t get my Ascended Celestial trinkets for the MF, but I can’t help but feel like I’ve been robbed of stat points if they just disappear.

celestial will remain celestial without the mf, it is already a valid option stat wise and most peope didn’t get it for the mf.

The helmet has one more crit damage for a small drop in power/prec compared to zerk. You also get a tiny smattering of other stats. Still good.

So long as I can re-allocate my Celestial pieces like all the other MF pieces – which is what the blog post seemed to indicate – they can do whatever they want to it. But I won’t continue to use it without the MF.

I like celestial even without magic find. The time gaiting the crafting them is kittened when they are as useful as berserker. The should have induced the them with September 3 patch to not angry the people who only wanted them as the top tief MF% gear. I am out 59% MF with barely anytime using the gear. Not to mention I dropped 100g on the cultural armor skins/ transmutation stones, which will now have to be transmuted to ascended berserker gear.

I’m hoping that the magic find either gets converted to boon duration or something like that. But, knowing anet, they’ll just get rid of it and pretend that celestial wasn’t nerfed in some way.

This has been some frightening news. Celestial Ascended Trinkets are involved in this nerf? I am denied the otherwise shared option for alternate stats?

These were available well before the armor, and personally, I have them on multiple toons. Due to the terrible RNG that exists in Tyria, the MF stat made the gear rather appealing. Without the MF stat, a mix of Knight’s, Valkyrie, and Berserker’s gear is infinitely more compelling for most builds.

Honestly, nerfing top tier, time gated gear, especially a midst news of more incoming time gated gear, is absolutely baffling.

I understand that replacing MF with any stat or boon would unbalance the set. However, why are we not given the option to just switch to a different set combination? The guild missions and fractals needed to get these sets were rather daunting. I really can’t afford my time to do this again.

I have also invested into celestial ascended trinkets and did so also because of the MF stat on them. I also support the idea of at least giving me the chance to pick another stat combo. Just because MF was not so dominant on them as on Explorers or Travelers does not make it a candidate for just removing it without giving players the option to decide. Anything else would be again a good case of the usual “sucks to be you” attitude i have seen far to often already.

Nevertheless, simply removing the MF makes it objectively worse than it was. Like, if they randomly nerfed the weapon strength of Apothecary gear. You didn’t get the set because you wanted to deal a bunch of direct damage, but that doesn’t mean you wanted what direct damage you have to be nerfed arbitrarily.
