I’m going to work on leveling now that I am moved into my temporary home while my new one is being built, and I’m just wondering what there really is to do at max level?

In the realm of magic, I am the ultimate offender.

Apparently you run around in a giant group of people (we will hereafter refer to this group as The Zerg) in the zone called Orr and you wait for one of several “dynamic events” that repeat every few hours. This is how people farm part of what they need for their legendary or something. You could also run the dungeons.

There have been numerous posts, articles, videos, and threads on this forum discussing GW2’s endgame. Please take a look around…the main website has at least one recent article in the news feed specifically about endgame.

Avoid getting caught up in the complaints and hyperbole written on these forums by people who don’t like GW2’s endgame, and therefore try to claim that it is lacking or non-existent. If you’re really interesting in knowing, do your own research. It’s really easy to find info.

The most important and central fact that you need to know is that level scaling means that the entire game world, all the events, every zone, dungeon, and everything else is open to you and isn’t trivial. The exploration, puzzles, wandering, and discovering dynamic events that you did for 80 levels doesn’t have to stop at max…you can just keep going. Also, the replayability of the game is very significant, due to all the different personal stories and choices…so starting another character is also a great option.

I’ll get you started…

If you liked the game at lvl 10 you will like it at lvl 80, because it doesn’t change, you’ll still do the same things.

Not sure if trolling. At lvl 10 i had a whole world to explore, main quests to do, crafting, and a sense of progression.

^^ Sense of progression. Thats the thing missing for me from this game.
There is absolutely no sense of progression with your character when you hit lvl 80 and get yourself geared in exotic gear you like the look of.

For me, progression at 80 is slow.. very slow. Map completion (I’m at 57%), jumping puzzles (I’ve only done around 5), dungeons (I’ve only done the first 6 in story and run CoF Exp a few times) and I’ve done a bit of sPvP and WvWvW… I swear it’s going to take forever to get this one character done and then I still have 3 other alts that I want to make lol and I always see people asking about end game and complaining about content.. makes me feel like I just play much too casually. O well, at least I know I won’t be one of the ones complaining about being bored.. but with over 300 hours logged I can’t help but wonder what the people who complain have logged…

Slow down and smell the pixels.
