Just went back to Queensland to get my last vista in bandithut caves. All is fine until you walk in, then it’s so bad you can’t even move!

My FPS also tanks in that cave. I’m not sure why. It didn’t seem to do so as badly just a few weeks ago, but suddenly it’s atrociously bad.

I’ve noticed the same problem in this particular cave. FPS drop to around 20 from 60. Not having so much loss in other caves though. Maybe just some optimization bug. I use Nvidia graphics card.

It’s the bombs & other objects spawning eternally.

Go look at the flaming ball of particles that’s coming from all the environmental weapons. they keep stacking & your machine has to render 10s of bombs & 100s of particles for every environ weapon. They said they fixed it a long time ago but they haven’t.

So this is the reason!
I suppose we have to wait until the next restart to fix the problem

Why fix the Necromancer for free when we can charge $$$ for the Revenant

That is not the only reason. If you have the bug I do, you can see through the world sometimes and see the HUGE objects used to make a tiny wall. I’m talking tip of the iceberg scenarios where mountain sized rocks are used to make tiny ledges the size of an asura. It’s all the geometry your PC is processing that you don’t even see that is contributing to that fps loss in caves.

the see through wall bug is actualy a problem with the video drivers your running, you may want to get newer one’s

Yeah, this happens to me sometimes too, and only in that specific cave. It’s odd.

I’ve had this before, but it seemed to stop (mostly) after a previous update (in November, I think). I still see a difference in the cave, but was a massive drop before. Went from 70+ FPS outside to under 20fps inside. And it wasn’t always that way, I had completed that map on several characters between August and November, and did not have this issue till sometime in Oct/Nov.

If you are using an Nvidia card, turn off ambient occlusion in your control panel/3d settings. I updated my drivers yesterday to the 310.70s and this started happening. I found a thread in tech support (where this thread probably should be) that discussed the issue and someone posted this fix.

I do not know if this is what’s causing the low frame drops in the bandit caves for some people, I went there before turning off AO and didn’t have any issues, but it may fix them for others.
