So, as those of us hunting for POI’s know, Tyria is stuffed to the brim with hidden little nooks and crannies. What’s your favourite hidden gem in the world?

I’ve only discovered a few so far, but my favourite at the moment is the Togatl Grounds, in Kessex Hills.

Actually, seriously now. I have a special place in my heart for the Shaemoor graveyard where I found an event nobody seemed to know about once during BWE2. I thought it was a pretty cool event back then – nowadays I just wish more strange stuff would show up like that with some minor prompt suggesting to check it out.

That particular event only occurs at night (as far as I’m aware). Try going in there at night and you should be able to repeat it. Assuming it’s still there of course.

I believe the event you’re referring to is the ‘Defeat the Lady in White’ event. Search that on the wiki and you should be able to find the info you need to do the event again, I imagine.

I do ‘The Lady in White’ quite often. Anytime you see bats in the graveyard, the event is active. =)

I really like Wizard’s Fief in Kessex Hills and Coddler’s Cove in Timberline Falls.

A while back, going through metrica, cant really remember why i was there, nothing special, just bumbling around, during Halloween. Came accross two or three NPC’S talking about the Mad King, so stopped to listen. One of them , if memory serves had an old style gramophone, and was on a low built stage.
It kind of blew me away, that very few people would ever see it as it was in a not much frequented part of the map. So will be popping back to try and find it this year ^^.

Cragstead. I haven’t done it for a while but I used to enjoy going in there for a beer and to chatter with the NPCs.

The small oasis in The Grove. One of the most serene and beautiful places in the whole game.

How do you get to wizard’s fief? I’ve tried swimming there, but it always mentions a strong current, and doesn’t let me get out there

I’ve also learned to appreciate the little things, like poor gravedigger Dumpy, who wanders around the shaemoor graveyard nattering to himself (and replying to himself!). It’s fun to find all these hidden details in places you wouldn’t expect

My favorite is the tippy top of the destroyed homestead dedicated to Owl. You’de never know it was highly possible to reach it until you messed around a bit.
