Hello,

I recently came back to the game after many years and boosted my Ranger to 80. I had enough gold to buy him Rabid Armor/Rampage Weapon/Accessories.

What should I do with the PVP/Soldier gear I was giving? Apparently I cannot salvage them or put them in the mystic forge

Don’t put them in the bank; there’s a bug that causes L80 Boost gear to disappear from the bank.

I was planning just to Destroy them =/ since they are taking up so much room

There you go! If an item has no purpose to you, deleting is probably the proper course.

If it’s account bound and you think you might be able to use it on another character then hold onto it.

If it’s soulbound or you’re never going to use Soldier’s gear then just delete it. It’s not really anything special – the skins are the same as crafter gear (and already in your wardrobe) and you can get identical pieces relatively cheaply on the Trading Post, or craft them or get them with karma/dungeon tokens etc. if you do ever decide you want it again.

probably worth throwing four bits into the mystic forge, to get a different random, but salvagable, exotic armor from it. might hold the last two until you get a couple of other exotics, or some karma ones or whatevs….

The gear from the L80 boost can’t be mystic forged.

I just made that character a gathering ranger. Speeds up gathering things like winterberries where 2 Vet trolls and 6 wolves defend every bush. Send pet, gather, move on, call pet back.

Of course, I didn’t want the character in particular, I just wanted the token out of the shared inventory slot and the only way to move it out was to use it. Took another hour to run it up to elite just for the drill.

As for soldier gear, it was my first experience with it. All my others have either zerker or viper gear. OTOH, when gathering, you can’t be too careful. Good thing it’s a ranger with a pet, as it would take an hour to kill anything with that gear. Exactly half the DPS of my zerker ranger.
