Guild Wars 2

This has been driving me crazy. During large battles, someone casts a spell
that sounds like a 4 second hymn like sound, almost church like if that makes
sense.

I reviewed the Mesmer portals, and druid spells, and came up with nothing.
I already play dragon hunter so know its not that.

Any advice to help me track down what that is? Sounds very cool.

Mesmer mantra (top contender for your issue)
Elementalist shouts (“Wash your pain away!”)
Necromancer shout (“Nothing can save you!”)

Might be the Herald aspects when toggled.

Dadnir, thanks but just youtubed those and none of those are close.

Maximus: VERY close to what I’m talking about, but not it. Its more
forceful with the sound. The sound I’m hearing is ONLY 1 note. I didn’t
start hearing it until HOT came out.

Ill keep looking and post if I find it.

Thunderbrew, I definitely know the sound that you’re talking about, and I have not been able to figure out where it’s coming from. I’ve played on my herald and chronomancer, and none make that sound to my knowledge.

Each time I hear it, I stop and automatically try to find the source. Was it a new achievement that I earned? Did someone level up? Is there a new spawn of baddies somewhere? Why did I need to hear it?! It’s a strong sound that really stands out, especially over top of my heralds softer hums.

This probably isn’t it but on my alt with the Exalted mail carrier I get a similar sound when I toss something on the TP.

No wouldn’t be, its in the middle of combat and in large
groups so I can never tell whose doing it.

I found out what it is. I posted the question while waiting for
Teq and someone stepped out of the crowd with the answer:

Mesmer: Well of Eternity’s end of the spell. For some reason is amplified
in combat it seems, so you can hear it over everything else.
