What the hell just happened
The update happened, but I’m not sure I would call the game ruined. Have yet to try out properly the new leveling system so I won’t comment on that, but the TP is definitely not ruined.
If you take just enough time to look at the bottom of the screen, you’d see that there are two columns: one for buyers and one for sellers. It is currently defaulted to match to the lowest seller, but just by clicking on the Buyers’ column you can sell instantly to the highest buyer. So, I don’t know what you’re talking about.
It’s behaviour like this (not reading or looking around and simply raging) that really disappoints me.
Because the majority of players that want to play an MMO cannot handle the overwhelming sensory information that is 5 buttons.

That was my whole point, having to click the Buyer’s column every time.
And now there’s another thing… there are three buyers, but when I try to click on them, GW2 won’t let me, because the minimum price is the seller’s price!? Huh??

Yeah, that was a nice thing to say especially when you explained it so clearly in your impotent rage.
That seems to be a very small detail to obsess over. They’ve set the minimum price to be the vendor price plus 15%, that may be what you’re experiencing. I can’t be too certain now since you’re clearly very adept at giving out details.
Every major change has been nothing but complete failure. I don’t want to go over it all again, there are a lot of threads detailing the horrid state of the game since this so-called update. Bring it up in map chats and everyone is going agree that all in all: it’s something that should not have happened to us.
Does ArenaNet hate their players this much? I can’t help but think they are trying to kill off the playerbase and thus its future, or that this is some kind of sick joke being played on us. How the hell did this update happen?

Seriously though, I can’t understand the leveling changes. I’ll have to try another new character to see how I really feel, but I expect to be as disappointed as new Trait update. But at least leveling might get you some sweet gear. Eh.
New TP has its good and bad. Search function’s better, quick-sale is not. Take it or leave it. Again, eh.
I’m just glad to have new goals in the Collections.

Yes, Lilith and her Asura pictures seems to love the patch as well,… there was a third one but I can’t remember the nickname. Its important for the “metrics” that we count how many are out there that liked the change… so far we got 3.

He doesn’t believe the game is flawless. But not that people really remember that when they can remember him as a zealous fanboy who won’t listen to any criticism.
It’s not even really worth talking about anymore, because it’s just . . . it’s just easier to go “Oh, it’s Vayne, he works for ArenaNet and gets paid to defend everything” than to try to just go “I don’t agree”.

Suddenly the TP is ruined. It used to be SO easy to use! Suddenly the bloody thing wants me to post stuff on TP as a seller, instead of the easy “instant selling” thing the original had.
Look about two inches to the left of the sell orders and you should find the buy orders. Just click there, and click the “Sell Instantly” button.

I really, really, and I mean… REALLY hate the changes that were oh so conveniently forgotten in the summary of the feature pack. Ok, you made PS easier, yay, cool, claps for all! BUT WHY RESTRICT IT?! I liked entering stories that were a higher level than me, it made them more fun but even if I didn’t like it, at least I had a choice! The PS I was on required me to be level 45 (seriously why is forty five filtered) , so I grinded, leveled up to 48 and went today to finish it only to know I was locked out until I reach level 50… SERIOUSLY?! WTF.
Terrible change, terrible communication, ruined the whole feature pack for me.
I can’t even. I cannot even. I have lost all my even. I cant.

It was stated in the Game Update Notes forum that the personal story have been more clearly broken up into chapters that unlock every 10 levels. So that thing that you really, really, and you mean… REALLY hate didn’t actually happen. You just either missed it, or didn’t read the update notes.
Sorry to say, but the change isn’t terrible (imo) and their communication seems to be okay in this regard.

Most players like most of the patch. No one is complaining that they added new Hellfire and Radiant skins, that guilds are better grouped together for guild missions, that elementalist glyphs now change color based on attunement, or dozens of other things.
There are just three big things that some players don’t like:
- New trading post UI
- New restrictions for characters below level 80
- Profession Loot
And also the fact that a bunch of crash bugs came with the new patch, but I’m pretty sure those weren’t intentional.

All these people are upset because it’s fun to be upset. “You’re insulting my intelligence by making this easier!” Right, or maybe you’re just arrogant? Man it’s a sad sight on the forums right now. If you’re so mad about the game then quit and play Destiny or any of the millions of other video games. Just don’t go around acting like it matters whether you quit or not.

I’ll have to agree with you, Andred. Most people are just complaining because they’ve already made up their mind that it’s going to be bad ever since reading about the changes in the blogposts.
Honestly, I’ve yet to try the new leveling system extensively, but from what I could tell from my guildmates leveling new characters, it’s not as horrible as people make it out to be. The only sensible suggestion from those raging is the option to go through the tutorial phase or not. Although it may be hard to implement as that would mean coding two different character types (one with more level-gated stuff and another that doesn’t).

They removed the ‘Greatest Fear’ parts, and rearranged the order of events in Orr. So now, for instance, we discover that there are things like Eye of Zaitan AFTER we kill the Sovereign Eye. There is a great post about it on Reddit. I say ‘great’, but I really mean ‘very depressing’. I’m afraid that even the Journals of people who completed the PS might be rearranged, but I’m not sure.

I agree. OP complains that Guild Wars is too boring to “grind” 12 levels. If it’s so boring, why are you playing at all? But believe me, it’s not hard to gain levels – use an experience booster (Birthday booster is even better), food that gives experience, see if you can get a heroe’s banner buff and head to EoTM. You’ll be leveled up in no time. Did that with my thief, went from 55-80 in a few hours. Might be something different to try if you hate hearts…personally I found EoTM to be boring but at least it’s lucrative.
I should complain about the old TP then, I always had to click sellers price! New TP is not bad…maybe a little cumbersome, but not ruined that’s for sure. Something new to get used to.

It WAS fun – the first three characters. Now that I’m on my fourth 80, I’ve pretty much seen it all… it’s getting very dull doing the same areas and hearts over and over and over again. That’s what I mean. I have no choice, I want to have as many characters as it takes to do every possible story choice.
I might try EoTM again. Tried it once, sadly my server was losing big time, and there wasn’t much to gain there at that time.
