What time do the patches normally go out? Do they have a set time?

Do EU and NA have different daily resets in that case? Because as far as I remember we have never had a release that late.

There is a lot of truth in this, it takes a while to prep a patch and make sure systems are ready. Pretty nerve racking ordeal, doesn’t matter how many times you have practiced it. Live servers can be a pain sometimes.

I honestly have no idea. I was under the impression they release the updates under the same timetable. That’s been my experience anyway.

Kudos to ArenaNet for having the best patching system in the industry. Most MMOs shut you out of the game completely for a half a day or longer while patching. ArenaNet has always minimized the inconvenience to us as players on patch days. This is one aspect of the game that they’ve always done well.

Think the latest I’ve seen a patch go live was the attack on Lion’s Arch around midnight CET time, not sure about the more recent patches though. To be honest, usually I wait an hour after the patch goes live, so my internet can cope a bit with the download, so midnight release would mean I’ll just wait till tomorrow. If we can wait more than a month, one day wouldn’t be that hard right?

Its pretty common to be around an hour from now. But I’ve also seen a handful wait until almost reset time UTC.

They don’t post any official times for a reason I suppose. :P

Edit: Or whenever that new build message loves to pop up. Like right when I was posting this.

New build available in 10 minutes, according to the game 3 minutes ago.

Yeah this happened with a previous patch – it was just the reult of so many downlaoding at once
