So I am debating on buying maybe 2k gems, but I do not know what I should get with them. Should I just transfer to gold or is gold easy to come by later on? Anything specific I should get if I do buy the gems?

If you don’t know what to get its best to keep 2k in gems. You get less gold per a gem than the gold it takes to get a gem. Gold is pretty easy to get.

As for the last question, we can’t really help you there. its really your choice since its your money and gems.

As an aside, it would be nice if thread titles were more descriptive of their purpose; for example “What to do with 2k gems?”

With regard to your question, it depends on what stage you’re at in the game. If you have a new character, you might like to get one of those ‘bump’ upgrades which give you some stuff to get you started.

If you’ve played a while or have several toons, you might like to increase the size of your bank, or the number of stacks of mats you can store in mat storage or the number of character slots.

Or you could just buy some snazzy wings or something.

You could transfer to gold if there’s something you intend to buy with gold, but there’s some loss in the transfer I believe due to exchange rates and what not.

How easy gold is to come buy depends on how much work you’re willing to put in. There are various avenues of play that are more efficient at delivering gold and the more time you spend in them the more gold you get.

Thnx yeah I’m looking through the gem store to see if anything catches my eye and so far only one style is, but I might hold off.

Edit: My bad on the topic title but I just started today so I’m still getting used to everything lol

Two suggestions would be:

• Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic: same chances as a basic salvage kit, but slightly cheaper per use and saves you the trouble of having to lug around a bunch of salvage kits, use it to salvage white, blue, and green items of any level, yellow items under level 70.
• Watchwork Mining Pick: the only infinite harvesting tool that gives you extra materials (watchwork sprocket) on top of the stuff you normally get from nodes, which you can sell for extra profit.

Buy nothing. If you just started playing, waste nothing until you have played a bit more and can decide. It might be a bit of gold to keep you going or invent space or a nice piece of social.

If you just started today, i didnt think u would have access to the gem store so soon? Or does that only apply to the trading post side?

I have HoT expansion, but yes I do not have access to the TP. I have to wait 4 days which is stupid. Other than that I do have access to the gem store. I was a f2p player earlier, but had to buy the expansion because I wanted to create a revenant.

2. share inventory slot. I’d put the copper-fed salvage in there as my first choice.

Ironically the first 2 things I bought with my first gem purchases bought with cash was the Harp and Flute.

Thnx everyone. I got the Silver-Fed Salvage-o-Matic because it was on sell for 500 gems and the copper one was 700 and then I got the wathwork mining pick.
