Hello, bought this game few days ago, at level 13 at this moment, but the thing is that my story line goes forward and it gets harder and harder, recommended level for actual quest is level 16, ofcourse I cannot complete it, how to level up ? PvP ? What else?
Got bored by doing these ‘events’ repeatly, thanks for every tip.

Sincerely, Shallem.

Go to other starter map to do the hearts/skills points/vistas there.
For example, if you are human, get out of Queensdale and go to Wayfarer Foothills (Norn) or Plains of Ashford (Charr), or any other 1~15 map.

Charter Vanguard [CV] – HoD
Bardy Belzebuson – Ranger Sir Belzebu – Herald
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)

My suggestion is go and complete maps. Find all waypoints, points of interest, vistas and complete all hearts. You can skip the heart quests if you really don’t enjoy them, but at the very least, having the waypoints will go a long way towards helping you get places faster. On top of that, if your Personal Story is what you’re trying to accomplish, you’ll need various waypoints across several maps to complete it.

You can try leveling through WvWvW if that interests you.

You get XP from pretty much everything you do in game. Leveling really isn’t that difficult at all.

How do you get where? I’m not sure where ‘there’ is.

You need to find a portal to lions arch in your home city, from there you can enter portals to each of the other races home cities.

Go to your main city (Divinity’s Reach if human, Rata Sum is asura …) and there will be a portal to Lion’s Arch, as soon as you use it you’ll find 4 other portals leading to the main city of the other races, and from there you can go to their respective starter map.

Here’s some options:
– Open up waypoints and Points of Interest on your map. This gives more xp than you would think and also opens up the map, which is really handy for later on (especially if you join a guild that does guild missions).
– Do some sPvP and spend your glory on the Tomes of Knowledge to get levels.
– Try out WvW. The new Edge of the Mists map gives a really good hybrid of PvE and PvP.
– When you reach level 30, start trying out some dungeons. Ascalon Catacombs – Story Mode will be the first one available.

Also, remember that there are tons of different areas to level. If you started off in the area of one race, you can always use the portals in Lions Arch that connect major cities to go to different areas, so if, for instance, you get bored of Sylvari areas, you can go to Human areas since all races have 2 nearby low level zones.

As other’s said, you should visit other zones.

It’s not immediately clear to new players, but each of the five races have their own maps for each level range.

If you end up finding yourself running out of hearts to do, go to Lion’s Arch and head to the Asura gates in the middle of the map (they look purple). This will take you to each respective race’s home cities and towards the starter zones.

You need to leave the map you are currently on. Each region on a map even undiscovered tells you the level range. Find a new one in your level range and do the hearts and events there. Check the wiki or here is a link that goes into a nice amount of detail on how to leave your starter area:

Guild Wars 2 is vast with lots of different creatures to kill and different style areas to explore… take advantage of that.

here.

Easy way to get to all other starter zones.

Click PvP icon on top of screen and click on enter the mists.

You will see a purple portal with lion satues either side. Run through it.

You now in Lions Arch, centre of the world. There is a area here with 5 portals to all 5 starting areas.

PLEASE BE AWARE LIONS ARCH BEING NUKED TO OBLIVION IN T-MINUS 6 DAYS

The first time in sPvP a player enters the tutorial area so they have to run through a portal then another. It isn’t readily obvious that is what they are supposed to do either.

Fastest way to level is by crafting, will get you as far 56 levels but that costs a lot of gold. So if you don’t plan on buying it the best and fastest would be through WvW by clicking “B” and clicking one of the borderlands, preferably Eternal Battlegrounds or Edge of the Mists and finding that blue commander tag. sPvP is a good way to level and make some coin as a newer player and get better at the game quickly. BUT, I recommend completing the maps by getting all the hearts, vistas, and points of interest done because when you end up wanting a legendary weapon and you speed leveled, you’ll end up regretting not doing it first in the beginning like I did because you need mal completion in order to get it lol.
