Guild Wars 2

This is my first time attending a feature pack update of GW2 as I joined the game recently. According to https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/feature-packs/, today at 18th August, it is “Balancing Act” and I would like to know what kind of update will occur today.

I am guessing from the name that it will balance different professions, but I maybe wrong.

It is only August 17th where the developers are based at most likely gonna have to wait until tomorrow before we know.

It is 18th August here on my timezone. However, I would like to know if you can tell me what kind of updates will occur in this “Balancing Act”.

No update will occur until September 18th. All of those things are sneak peeks for what will be in the feature patch.

There are no Feature Patch game updates until September 9th.

What we will see 4 days out of the week are Feature Patch reveals. A blog post describing one of the features of the Feature Patch.

Also, it matters not what time or date it is where each player is. Announcements and game updates always happen on Pacific Time (PST/PDT is the time zone for ArenaNet), if a time is mentioned. Unless, of course, it specifically says UTC time. =)

They haven’t said yes or no to an update specific to GW2’s 2nd anniversary. We’ll probably know as we get closer whether or not they have plans. Just as they haven’t revealed any specific plans yet on what will be done for our character’s 2nd birthday.

Not necessarily. There’s a relatively new birthday vendor NPC in the center of Lion’s Arch, so they’re at least aware its coming up.

As for the Balancing Act reveal, it’s probably related to profession balances; if it is, you’ll probably get more value from watching the more detailed videos that are in their “Ready Up” shows and/or reading the text summaries. They are revealing the planned changes for 2 professions every 2 weeks on the shows. I think the next one is this Friday.

No one, including Devs, have said there won’t be an update(s) before the Feature Patch releases. I certainly expect some kind of patch for the 2nd Anniversary. We will probably find out more on Tuesday (19th).
