Was thinking idly today about the launch of the Beta in China, and how Anet has pretty much purged anything even remotely Asian/Canthan related from the game.

Will this impact the success of GW2 in China? I think there is a possiblity that it will.

VIP status adds a largely Asian feel to the game and the Chinese are loving that aspect from what I have been told.

Game related themes like Cantha probably won’t have a huge impact on popularity so long as cultural ‘carrots’ are being tended to.
