What will Guild Wars 2 become?
An eSport.
Because once ANet finally pushed that spectator mode out into live use, people will be watching sPvP games to kill time, and see that ANet has set up an awesome and highly-spectator-friendly game.
Other then that, GW2 will probably just become that really neat MMO that showed how quests can be designed differently from the Exclamation Mark system and still work.
Everything else is a bit up in the air, given that GW2 came out half-baked.
(Seriously, a ton of content was poorly designed at launch, and a ton of areas on the map aren’t even available. It’s pretty obvious they weren’t finished when they launched.)

Yeah I see what you mean completely, I don’t mind that however as long as the PvE is just as strong as PvP could possibly be.
I don’t mind sPvP at the moment besides some balance issues (personal oppinion), I can’t stand WvW, I’m running i7 I’m still lagging like hell…
Or, will it be just another mmo that only the die hard fans will play?
For some reason I want it to be that way or I want all those entitled “casualplayers” to start accepting that not everything should be reachable in an instant.
