Q:
…OUTSIDE of the Tournament that is. Will there be stuff for us mortal peasants to do during the action like the event in March? Or will the event be completly focused on the PvP Tournament?
The “get-together” effect of GW players last time was good and having something for us to do this time would be nice as well.
Only ArenaNet will be able to answer this post…
Indeed it is so…

You can find information about all the activities at the Guild Wars 2 Anniversary Bash on this page: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/events/pax-2013/
You do not need a PAX badge to get into the event, as the event will not take place on the show floor. So if you’re a local fan or able to travel, you might want to attend.
Unfortunately, the tournament won’t even be played at PAX. It will simply take place during PAX, but at a completely separate venue.

Really? I thought they were waiting for PAX so they could hold the tournament there.
Edit: The Link is listed under “Community” section. However it is bugged… if you look at it under some sections of the site including these forums it is not listed. However if you go to the main site it will be listed there. Nonetheless a perma post on main page for next few weeks would be nice….
Ahhh thanks for the post. That information seemed to be hidden somewhat on the site as I don’t see any links on main page or sections to that area. Least I have it now no matter…
See you laters!

The fact that PAX is even mentioned would indicate that there is at the very least some affiliation with PAX. I don’t think Penny Arcade would just let ArenaNet say their big tournament is held during PAX if they weren’t initially aware of it.
I know it’s seven months away, but does Anet have any plans/interest in bringing at least a booth to Pax East? I loved this year’s Pax East but the convention floor was a little bit darker for lack of a GW2 booth.
