What will happen to Ascended MF items?
Probably a merchant that will accept ascended MF items, and offer other ascended items in return, or something like that. It’s pretty clear that the items won’t just vanish.
In one of the other interviews (not the blog post) it was mentioned that a few items are retaining their MF item stat. I speculate that ascended trinkets are included.

I just purchased an Ascended MF piece last night. No tears here.
I used Laurels (stockpiled up to 130 before I used them all last night) and WvW tokens as I never WvW and ANET decided to give me a crap load from Achievement Chests.
It would be cool if ANET gave something, which I’m sure they will. I mean.. I got a free Kite just for buying Gems.

I bought gold find infusion………which is gonna become useless soon, and I think they are only going to replace MF, not gold find.

A merchant is a good option. But how about MF infusions placed in non-MF gear? (Why did they waste such infusion… Tsk tsk tsk) Maybe an item that removes infusion.

Hmm.. maybe that is one thing more that is unclear, a possibility of MF stats adding on top on the upcoming account base MF stats? Interesting but unclear.

I share your concern. ANET probably has a nice way of managing all MF stat items. ^^
orrrrrrr…..
just replacing the MF stat with a different stat.
They will just delete them all, I assume. Seriousy, they’re going to compensate players with MF armor. If I were them, I would probably shift the set so that Power becomes the primary stat (MF is currently the primary), and make the third secondary stat be Toughness or something generic. For Divinity/Celestial stats, just replace the MF with double Power.
you spend complaining about it on the forums, you’d be
done by now.”
They said there will be a system in place to re-absorb the MF gear currently in the game so we don’t feel cheated for having bought or crafted it. Although I think some people might be right about the ascended ones staying around, wouldn’t really change much (the only ones we have are trinkets anyway so not like it would revert to everyone running full ascended MF). You’re not going to get cheated out of it either way and they won’t simply “delete them out of existence” don’t worry lol.
~Surrender fiend and you will get an easy death
~I could promise you the same…but it would be a lie…

I agree with Nay of the Ether (was Nate, sorry). But you were just assuming that is. The real concern is the Ascended trinkets and infusions that were purchased.

I’ll just…Yaknow…put this here….
" In the near future, we’ll detail the system we’ll use to replace the existing magic find items. Our goal will be to have as little disruption as possible to those who currently own items with a magic find stat on them." – The blog post you’re talking about

Ten.
I hope they replace the Magic Find stat on item to movement speed/swiftness increase. Or maybe a boon duration increase.
There are still a lot they can do.

Well, I have read it already. Thanks but I would love to hear my fellow gamers’ opinions.
