Nothing game-changing or game-breaking, of course, but say for example if the Claw of Jormag dropped an ultra-rare bag, say “Jormag’s Frozen Sack” that was a 24 slot container, or perhaps an item like “Frozen Skin of the Dragon” which would work like a one-time t-stone, changing the appearance of an armor item to something unique. Imagine something like a one in a thousand (or greater, actually) chance for them to drop if you have gold participation and they’d be account bound to minimize the draw to botters (can’t sell).

Would this, in your various opinions, enhance or detract from the game (or simply add nothing at all)?

I think personally it would add a little something extra. Everyone likes those rare moments when you beat the odds so to speak, and keeping them account bound would prevent any economic impact.

I think this probably wouldn’t be a bad a thing, especially if lower level mobs had the chance to occasionally drop a nice surprise as well (as world drops…I wouldn’t agree with them all being on bosses, since that would exclude the people that don’t like doing that sort of content…). It would add an element of excitement to just running around killing things…it would be nice to see something besides the usual generic drops every once in awhile…

Of course you’d end up with people who whine because they have bad luck, but there’s nothing you can do about that.

I think it would be an interesting way to get people out into the world if everything had a chance of dropping something of an RNG table.

If you go this route go the route of GW1. Ultra rare drops just have ultra rare skins of items already available to players.

Since it’s just a super rare skin, it isn’t account or soul bound so you can sell it. It should also not drop just from 1 mob, that creates a farming spawn and we don’t need that in a PvP game either.

No need to try to make a PvP game into some farmfest PvE elitist MMO.

Hey dude you are walking into a wall.

smack..Wut?…smack…smack…

While I like the concept, it wouldn’t work in this context (GW2) primarily because of the anti-botting code that they have implemented.

More skins that drop, especially with max stats and cool names will go a long way to making people happy right now.

It’s probably in the works just a few months away.

Love the idea from op regarding the skins from world bosses.

Non relevant comment → “My childish brain is still laughing that Jormag might drop “Jormag’s frozen sack”… hope those players get out of the way in time xD

Cancer is also a Zodiac sign.

I think it wouldn’t matter for me because I’d never see one.

However, it’s a good idea.
