Beta.. was good times.. why did they change the login screen it to something so basic, simple, unimpressive and well a bit shoddy compared to the rest of the game?

I for one thought the original (beta) intro was fantastic! really got me excited to play gw2!

Oh I remember that screen now! Those were some good times..a whole new world to explore….new skills to play around with everywhere…adventure. Brings back such good memories and yeah I would like to see it return

I remember how pumped that made me when waiting for the beta weekend to start.

I mean, it’s nice that we can login in our patcher, but I’d rather have that screen. :D

I like log in screens, it gives me the feel of a ‘’Welcome to our game’’, and I think it should return. I absolutely loved original Guild Wars log in screen.

But I supposed they removed the log in screen because of how long it takes to actually load into the game, especially if you logged out in Lion’s Arch, so they removed it to remove as much time possible trying to log in instead of playing the game.

I miss the character select screens from GW1…they were much cooler then what we have right now.

I like the login set up we have now.

We used to be able to edit the command line of the Gw2.exe with a “-useoldlauncher” command. This was removed about a month after launch for some unknown reason.

I really miss this login screen as well, it’d be epic if we could use “-useoldlauncher” once again.

Yeah I love the original log in in that yotube video, would be nice if they would bring it back, or cycle them around every few months.
