Whats the best EU server
When I checked a few hours ago Desolation was the only full server. So only looking at population, this is probably your answer.
Im new to guild wars 2 and i was wondering whats the best EU server when it comes to population?
Server choice only matters if you do World vs World open world PVP, in PVE the game uses a megaserver system that puts all players regardless of home server together. So your choice of server doesn’t restrict you. You can party up with players from all servers and Guilds are also multiserver too, so really the server selections affects only WvW.

To see which servers are on top if you want the most populated (and better organized) servers. However keep in mind that servers with lots of people have problems with queues at prime time and during WvW events, you will be better off picking a mid tier server.
Seafarer’s Rest if you want to level fast, farm champ bags / badges / karma in Edge of the Mists! The other 2 teams have no chance against us, we mow down everything. :P For PvE it doesn’t matter because of the megaserver.
Desolation is definitely my favourite. It’s the server I picked at launch, and I frequently play on others as a guest (both before and after the megaserver conversion, it does still make a difference) but I’ve never been tempted to swap.
It’s not perfect of course, because ultimately it’s a big group of people and there’s always going to be issues with that, but I think it’s a good mix of very focused, organised people who can make big coordinated group events like Tequatl and The Silverwastes work, more casual people who are willing and able to help newbies and be more forgiving of unsual builds and simply fun, talkative people in chat.
Other than that though I also like Piken Square, which is the unofficial EU role-play server, Gunnar’s Hold and Gandara. Gandara in particular always seems to have the most active map chat.
