Are you on US servers? If so, go to Lornar’s Pass and find the Probe near the Refuge Peak waypoint. There’s usually always people in this map waiting for the next Marionette battle, so odds are there’ll be a few people to help with the Probe’s defenders.

Second, guest to Blackgate/Jade Quarry/Tarnished Coast. Those are the three biggest US servers, and whenever you guest to another server, the Probes are in the exact same spot. Odds are good that somebody has already destroyed the Probe, and you can just loot it. Log back out and guest to the next server, then repeat this for however many characters you have. You can easily acquire all 50 within half an hour using this method.

If you’re on a EU server, simply guest to whatever are the two biggest EU servers instead.

First take a Ranger- it is the easiest class to solo them on.

I used Kessex hills and Gendarran fields.
All the thumpers are near wp’s.
Just clear one map and got over the next- go back to the first one because they have respawned by now.

It took me less than 20 min to get all of them.

It’s by far easiest to solo them if any of your characters are strong enough to do that. Sometimes you get help but it’s quicker not to have to rely on it.

Just a random PuGgle.

Take your lvl 80 to any of the zones up to lvl 40-50; run up to a probe and get the cores. If it’s guarded, kill the mobs first. An 80 shouldn’t have problems with the defenders when down-scaled.

Also Diessa Plateau has a few.

The most difficult ones are those with watchwork minions guarding them.
Try to pull mobs one at a time so you don’t get overwhelmed.

Finally, you get 10 cores just for discovering the ‘secret door’ even if you do not have enough to open the door. So, do that if you have not done so already.

Lvl 80’s: Ranger; Guardian; Mesmer; Necromancer; Thief

You can also park multiple characters near a probe. Kill it with your strongest and then log into all of the others to pick up the cores on each character.

Haha .. i even died once on my 80 warrior in a 15-25 zone, and had to play a lot hit and run even in that low level zones.

So my tip : use the lowest possible zones, and you can also use guesting to check the same spot on 3 servers to minimize porting costs.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
