You cant upgrade em and you dont get Agony Resistance from em, just a +5 stat for 5 days of doing dailies…theres any point on buying em? Can they be upgraded to have AR other than just a +5 in a base stat? 5 laurels arent a joke, its still 5 days to get em. Thanks for your time!

They are basically for anyone that has no desire to do fractals to be able to get something added. It’s only a measly +5 stat, but it’s better than nothing.

not everyone does fractals. For people who do WvW or PvE, this amounts to +30 in a stat currently. Once the rest of the slots are ascended this will amount to +70 in a stat total. Game-changing? No. Noticeable? Not likely. Something to work towards to be the best you can be? Yes.

You guys dont get my point. I play a lot of WvW too not just fractals, and ascended items can help a lot in WvW fights. Surely i must agree a mere plus 5 on a stat (or 30 if fully ascended geared) is not a big deal but just a way to get towards the best u can be. Still, if i wanna play both fractals lvl 40+ and WvW, why do i have to overwrite (AkA waste my laurels) those infusions to get the agony res one for just 75 relics which takes 1h to get (and not 5 days)? Im not asking for something major, just the chance to upgrade with a MF recipe (hopefully cheaper than getting 250 T6 mats for just a +5) the laurels infusions, which can help to keep an infusion both useful for fractals and WvW and not making em useful for just one way, thats it

Is it 5 or +4? I’ve spent a lot on getting the fine infusions (5 stat, +5 ar).. I shouldn’t have bought them if the ones from laurels gave +5 stats too but i think it’s +4

Swap rings. Don’t use the same one for both.

its + 4 so its not even best for people who do no fractals because the fractal infusions have better stats (+ 5)

= absolutely not worth the price of 5 laurels for giving only + 4 and withtout AR..
1 laurel maybe yes but actually no not even that would be worth it in my opinion^^

Better to save for the Gold Infusion or one of the other special ones then

Exactly my point sir, if just they could be upgradable in MF in a cheaper way would make sense but like this its way way overpriced and half useful :/

Right at the moment yeah, thats why making these +4 laurels upgradable via MF is a suggestion im making in order to get infusions more worthy of laurels…using 5 laurels to save lot of golds exactly like u can use guild commendations badges to get ascended accessories without spending 40 laurels and 50 ectos…u can call it a shortcut ^^

It currently takes about 200g to make an agony/stat infusion, obviously that varies alot per type you are trying to make. Currently laurels are worth about 50s per laurel. In order to keep both methods viable it would need to cost about 195g to use the laurel infusion upgrade you are suggesting. Is this an acceptable solution for you? If not then your suggestion probably isn’t feasible in order to keep various methods competitive on creating infusions.

Its for the min/max people really. Every stat has a base increase at level 80. Take precison for example, it takes 21 Prec to get 1% crit chance. After do your math on your total prec, if you were missing just 3/4 from prec to get another 1% crit chance, you would add the infusion to get it.

No, dyes and minis have a use, the way stats work in GW2 a +5 stat increase is virtually nothing…so you would never waste 5 laurels on them would you, its one of those no brainer decisions…

hmm.. +50 HP vs a pretty rabbit with horns…

Laurel infusions should be +6 so you either have the option of +5 and AR or +6.
