Whats the point on saving CC number?
I thought you were going to answer that one since it is about money.
I wasnt aware you had to retype the number every time after already having it saved, if its making you retype it im sure its a bug as you should see the last 4 numbers of your CC and nothing else; you should be able to select it and have it load automatically maybe enter the ccv code on the back again just for verification but definitely not the whole number.
the 4 numbers are there, but they are grey and cant be selected, so everytime I buy gems I have to retype all the kitten (including address). its the stupiest cash store ever made.
never had this problem. Either it’s a bug or you’re doing it wrong.

It would be a security feature, one of three (somewhat obvious) things could be happening:
1. If you save the card information but don’t access it for a period of time it could lock you out.
2. Card information is only saved for a limited duration of time, after that expires it locks you out.
3. The location based security feature that requires you to authenticate a new IP address for your account could cause your saved card information to be locked out to prevent credit card fraud.
It’s annoying, but a secure system is usually annoying to use… which is why it’s secure in the first place.
I am anti-censorship, for it doesn’t make sense to pander to a minority.

When I log off, the card is not accessible anymore. Yesterday I bought 50 bucks of gems and a few hours later I was going to purchase some more. I didnt have an IP change, only a few hours had passed and, again, the number was grayed out and it said I had to retype all the info (which is pretty annoying, considering I have to put my name, address, zip, cc number, etc.). My CC was in my car and I was lazy to go down and get it, so I gave up buying. Anet/NCsoft lost 50 bucks because of their flawed system. In all the professional companies in game industry (I can name Blizzard, Steam and EA), my saved CC info is really saved and I dont have to retype them every time I purchase stuff.

I’m not sure when the saved feature quit working, but approx a month ago, my husbands account got hacked. While we were both playing, he “crashed” only to find he couldnt log back in. I was with him in game prior to the hacking, and watched as his character was moved from the zone we were in, to LA and stripped of everything. Ofc we contacted support immediately and the account was shut down within 5-10 mins of the account being stolen. But then it hit me, … omg, our CC is saved to his account!.
Thank goodness the info would have had to have been retyped, or whatever it is that stopped the hackers from using our CC, whether it wasnt the first thing they went for, or the account was shut down prior to them using it or the security feature that makes you retype it in. I am grateful though that they didn’t get a RL dime from me in the process.
I do see where you are coming from though, wondering why they even have “save” CC if you actually can not. Perhaps you were once able to, but with all the hacking of accounts , they turned the “feature” off until they can secure things up more and forgot to take the save feature out.
Just guessing
