Make more friends? I meet new awesome people every day. Spent hours in a party with some random in straits of devastation today, needless to say.. another friend on the list. Try being social, idk.

Have you seen the retardation in /map public chat?

I’m scared to make new friends when people are screaming “RES ME OR I’M REPORTING YOU” at Balthazar.

Why are you playing an MMORPG if you are too closed in to talk to people? Who cares about the idiots, and btw I don’t have any chat like that on my server.

I spent 60 bucks tried to play… everyone complained about imbalance no end game… i get closer to 80 and realize this and by the time I hit 72 my guild roster is empty every week.

Well… I guess you’re right… the game doesn’t talk to people or make friends for you… what a bummer.

Maybe the thousands of bots on my server will be my friend

Couldn’t have said it better myself. From the looks of it you probably don’t even play Gw2 and are just angry cause all your WoW friends are leaving to come play GW2.

Why hate? appreciate. GW2 is beautiful. All my friends are still playing so far, maybe make less sucky friends?

In every mmorpg I have ever played all my rl friends always leave me alone in the game after a couple of months when they stop playing. And tbh that’s always when I start having the most fun because I have to make new friends!
In this game however I haven’t played with any rl friends and I’ve had a blast all along

the fanboys are extra rabid to day. But your probably better of ditching gw2 for what ever your friends are playing.

most of my friends have quit lol. people i anticipated the game with for 2+ years while we played other mmos. making new friends now just aint the same lol

Irnhide, what server are you on? Map chat’s not always perfect but I’ve had some excellent conversations with randoms on my server (Henge of Denravi if you’re interested). People are pretty alright, really.

If you don’t enjoy the gameplay, maybe you shouldn’t play, but I agree that having people to play with is what makes an MMO. I hope you can find some people, or at least have enough positive random encounters and chats to make playing alone engaging for you.

I don’t have friends. I play alone and when I dominate with a gear or level advantage in game I pretend the pokemon on my desk are my friends and have them compliment me on how awesome I am. THANKS PIKACHU YOU ARE MY FRIEND AND YES THAT WAS A GREAT KILL

Not inspired at all. I stopped playing this game completely a while ago. It’s just THAT bad.

Honestly, if you need to rely on other peoples tastes to play the game you paid for, why even play games at all?

This is by the 2nd most antisocial MMO on Earth.. chat is dead 90% of the on Gates of Madness, in any zone. Zzzz

I must admit, GW2 is much less co-operative (in the social sense) than GW1 ever was. Because of the open-world style of play, no longer do you need to team up with guild buddies to do ‘that quest’, you can just happen upon a quest, help out, then wander off when you feel like it.

It is really a multi-player single-player game now.

I’m sorry that you are having such a bad experience with the game but rude ppl are not something that is related to the game (and sadly those are everywhere in game and RL). All you can do is to ignore them and hope to find more nicer ppl with whom you may enjoy and have fun in the game.

There are many other guild out there that ,I m sure, will be happy to have you join their ranks. There are hundreds of different guilds with different focus. Be it PvP , PvE casual playing or roleplaying
