They have got to do something, they should fee fortunate that there are some people that are frustrated enough to make noise on their forums, most people just pack up, leave, and take their Gem Store money with them.

Woodenpotatoes has been in the process of moving and explained mulyiple times that this would hinder his uploading.

Not only that, but he does the whole Twitch thing now, instead of YouTube. Pretty sure he in on Twitch daily.

Funny his last video he said he was done moving.

Idk, I’m more worried I won’t get the current achivements before they get replaced with new stuff.

If we are lucky the E3 embargo will fall next week and Arenanet will talk about the next quarterly update coming July 12.

If the Italian article is right they will also explain why LW3 will start after the quarterly update and why they are planning broader gaps between the chapters.

July 12th will be 12 weeks since the last one which was the gap between Winter and Springs quarterly update. July 26th would be 26 weeks after the Winter quarterly update.

The only “official” statement about LWS3 was it would come after the last part of the raid wing got pushed.

And MO stated before the April quarterly update that they weren’t going to do the whole hype train thing they did with HoT for that update so it’s possible that the only hype we get is a week, maybe two before it goes live. How much additional damage was done to HoT by first working the player base into a frenzy with the constant hype train.

I don’t understand how rev is any more broken than other classes. At least it has more than 1 use. Every class has trait lines that are mostly useless, this is not something only the revenant suffers from. Rangers for example are now the second lowest dmg in the game, forcing people to either heal or switch classes if they are interested in raiding. The ranger as a class was a damage class originally and now they change the role entirely.

While dmg doesnt matter for 90% of the game, in raiding it does, and no one is going to take a dmg ranger in. Herald can tank, dps, utility and even heal a bit. And that is with just shiro and glint. They also have condi cleanse, stability for days, boon strip…yeah, rev is what needs fixed lol

Nearly every oatch has balance patches for some classes, and they have had nearly 4 years to try for them. Things happen. Rev is just more evident becayse it is new

In PvP? Yes. Outside of it? No. Mallyx and Jalis are preferred over Shiro in most raiding situations (one notable exception).

Well it looks like Woodenpotatoes released a new video discussing the content draught and stated that he thought S3 wasn’t going to drop until the end of the Summer, he expressed a lot of concern and I though disappointment as well.

Seriously ANet your biggest cheerleader, your YouTube White Knight thinks you’ve dropped the ball , and given up on the season so to speak like you’re the New York Jets in the NFL competing for last place.

When videos like that drop from WP then you’re really doing something wrong, period.

I’m going to start dusting off other MMOs on my PC, hopefully for ANets sake none of us gets hooked some where else.

End of summer implies that we will not be seeing anything relating to LS3 until September. Given the timing of the next PvP season, we probably won’t see anything until October. Perhaps even as part of the Fall Quarterly Patch.

I can only hope that we will be seeing the Queen’s Jubilee towards the beginning of next month, if August’s Brew Of The Month is anything to go by, because that’d be the only content we would see for the next 3 months.

Okay WP never said in that entire video he’s given up on the season, he never implied it. That video said, if anyone actually bothered watching it, that he’s having fun in game again, doing things he’d never have done and appreciating the new zones in ways he didn’t realize existed.

If people bothered to actually listen to what he’s saying he’s saying yes, the content drought affects some people but there are still goals and there are still people taking advantage of those goals. I’m one of them.

He also said no matter where he went in HOT no matter the hour he always saw plenty of people.

This whole I don’t have the content I like so HoT is dead commentary is silly.

Content takes months to create and another month to release. We all know that time was spent by Anet to fix the new zones and most of those changes were met with a positive reaction from the fan base. The April quarterly patch was a big big update on more than one front (WvW and HoT).

Sure there’s a less new content for people who like open world stuff to play. But this has happened in every single MMO I’ve ever played. Every single one.

You can go to the forums of any MMO and see complaints about not enough content or not enough fo specific content.

For years, we saw people who wanted challenging content yelling and screaming about not having it. Now we don’t hear those people, we hear different people.

No game company is big enough to do it all, so it rotates. And yes, people will get frustrated that companies can’t make content faster than they do.

But it doesn’t mean they’re not working on content, it doesn’t mean they’ve given up on content and it doesn’t mean content isn’t coming.

It just means people have unrealistic expectations of how long content takes to produce.

April, less then three months ago, Anet released a HUGE patch for open world PvE. Since then they’ve put bandit bounties in the game, they’ve put the coalescent events in the game, they put new bandit champs in the game, they put leyline events in the game.

It’s not much, but it’s also not nothing.

People need to get a grip. Particularly with a quarterly patch coming out this month.

I never said the game was dead how ever the stagnation in development is horrible for morale and it is discussed out side the game on other game sites, WP clearly stated that he was concerned, he also stated he was disappointed in the amount of time S3 is taking, he’s basically stated he’s going on hiatus except for the random GW2 video until there’s actually something to cover.

Yes there are people still playing, even I’m still playing, for now; but it’s starting to get stale.

You and I have discussed this in guild and private chat I do not think that the price tag matches what we got, I’m used to WoW sized expansions, if this were reasonably priced I’d say ANet should have charged $30. I expect 2 more zones to flesh out what we got, furthermore I also expect the personal story that we were provided to double what we were given with HoT, I also expect at least half a dozen fractals to throw into the rotation, I expect the rest of the Legendaries that were included in the product description.

You can disagree, I can disagree, we both respect each other and share a virtual roof; I respect what you’ve said but you can’t discount that he also said those other things as well other wise both of us would be guilty of cherry picking.

I watched the video, and I didn’t hear him say he was going on hiatus, at all. In fact, he addressed the fact that people were saying he wasn’t doing as many videos, and explained…yet again…that he is spending a lot of time doing Twitch videos now, to check his other channels, and that something is going on behind the scenes.

He also said he was going to release a video on Current Events soon.

The community is use to silence. But they’re not use to long and extended droughts of PvE content. I think, before the expansion, there was a two month delay at most with no event seasonal or otherwise.

The community is getting served appetizers with these micro-events and Super Adventure Box. They’re ready for what happens next in the story. They want the main course now.

Heck . . . they’re starved for it.
