Hi, I’ve been playing since Beta, but my GF bought her account almost 2 weeks ago.

She found one of the rare halloween items in a chest using a key she bought on the gemstore.

She tried to sell the item on the TP (as it was going for 25g) but she needed 1g50s in order to list it, so I mailed her 2g. She sold it, then tried to send me back the cash but got an error about not sending money on new accounts.

Thats fine, we’re all in support of stopping botting, but can we have an indicator of when the limit is lifted? I want my gold back!

I wasn’t aware of this feature. Maybe she can send you some items worth 1.5 g in the meantime?

Yea, never heard of that one. Definitely new to me.

According to the wiki there’s a limit to how much gold new players can send. Gives no indication about how much or how long this limit lasts.

Maybe try mailing smaller amounts of silver, possibly multiple times?

From what I’ve heard the limit is how much Gold that account has made through PvE.
For example if during the account’s lifetime you’ve made 1 Gold off drops then you are able to send 1 Gold by mail.

This obviously doesn’t count how much of it you’ve spent, just the grand total you’ve ever earned.

I don’t know if this system is still in place or if my info is outdated.

You probably just have to wait a few days or so. The same feature was in gw1. Likely to prevent people from creating accounts just for gold sales etc.

It’s probably better vis-a-vis gold sellers if the metrics remain unrevealed… unless it puts a strain on your relationship :p

Thanks for the replies all. The lock was lifted last night and she was able to send the gold, so I guess its about 2 weeks.
