Guild Wars 2

I just got this game for 60$ along with the expansion .Just to see the website and see guild wars 2 is free now.I feel cheated like hell

gw2 core is free, but it has alot of restrictions. You weren’t cheated.

You get a lot more for your money than someone with a free to play account does. They are seriously limited, and they don’t get access to the expansion.

You don’t have to believe me; just open a free account, find out for yourself and if you still think you’re being ripped off, then try asking Anet for a refund.

Hey hey we paid 60 bucks for the original game and then 60 bucks again for the expansion, yet you have everything open we do. Stop complaining and enjoy the game. It’s well worth 60 bucks or more

1. Free players do not have access to expansion features and content.

As other people said free accounts have a lot of restrictions. Not only because they don’t have any access to the expansion areas and masteries/elite specialisations. They also have a lot of restrictions on basic things – for example only having 2 character slots and no access to map chat.

To me it’s more like a demo version without a time limit than a true free to play game. In theory you could just play the free version and never pay anything, but I think it would get extremely frustrating.
