So, when do we get that scavanger hunt for precursors?

I am sick and tired of seeing 1 thousand gold buyers roaming LA with their shiny legendaries whilst others are farming 100 gold in 1 month.

how many content updates have we seen since they announced the scavenger hunt?

Such jealousy. Ive bought dawn for 250g -before- karka event. It was even lower after that. You know…when people said it was 400g?….

100g in a month simply means you either dont have much free time to make gold or you are really terrible at making gold. Nothing else.

People with no gold / gem buy got their 2nd legendaries.

Now on the real topic: Gief scavanger hunt! im excited about it as well

Believe it or not, the precursor is the least of your worries right now. Further more, the prices you mentioned are not true.

If you really want a legendary you need to farm like there is not tomorrow and save everything.

Even though some people may have spent $ for gold, you can’t assume everyone does and Just because you want a free precursor doesn’t mean you are getting it or a legendary either.

We are all struck by the in game recession but instead we push harder to squeeze every copper out of every opportunity we can so that we can keep moving forward.

Yes, legendaries now are much harder to get than 1-2 months ago and seem almost unreachable when you are just starting up. Keep making gold any way you can and hope things get better.

Making 100g a month is good. Considering the drop rates on everything is garbage. Stop pretending that 100g a month isn’t a lot.

Lol so many elitists here. 100g is still a lot for a casual (almost hardcore) tier player. The most I can make is maybe 20g in a few days and that’s just straight up grinding

Yeah. They expect everybody to just grind for 30 days straight. Don’t try to enjoy the game. Even anet admitted the precursor situation was wrong which is why they’re adding the scavenger hunt. These people are just elitists and their kind will never stop trying to flaunt it.

As a casual (maybe 2-3 hours playing a day). I’m lucky to make 5g a month.

I get about 11g/day from farming dungeons/fractals in speed runs. That takes me about 5 hours. I’ve got a good group that I play with and we enjoy doing it. If you’re making 100g/month, and doing what I do at the same level of efficiency, it means you’re playing the game for about 45 hours per month. I don’t think that rate warrants getting an item meant to be had only by the top 5% or so of players.

It wasn’t my intention to give the impression that i assume 100g isnt much. Actually, whether it is a lot or not really depends on your status as a gamer and what your goals are.

Farming in brute force and farming in a practical manner has a dramatic effect on your earnings. An example
1) Farming for 6 hours straight may earn you 6g
2) Farming for increments of 2 hours and taking 30 min break within each session may earn you over 10g. That is because you take DR(diminishing returns) into consideration.

If you are going for legendary while netting only 100g per month then it would take you over a year to get it. If that’s ok with you then thats fine. Set a long term plan and go for it.

I work full time (40+hours)and still net at least 200g a month which can be considered not as great by several others who have mastered the TP or other more effective money making techniques.

No they expect people that like to do other stuff or play the game less to be able to understand that if they made legendaries an easy goal for YOUR kind then i’d probably have 6 or by now. So much for legendary.

i cant play a lot so it has to be easier
i like to do other things so it has to be avaible/easier taking into account what I like to do

these are the most selfish things ive seen on these forums about legendaries.

As i said i totally agree on scavenger hunt.. but i also hope it’ll take as long as making the 250-300g.

Anet told the mindless farm was wrong which is true, they said the gold was going out of hand once items reached 500g also true.. and since then ALL of the precursors were avaible for more than 2 weeks for less than 300g. Even before karka event. If you really wanted the legendary you’d buy them once they are cheap. Things go expensive and cheaper all the time it is a live market.

And 100g for almost hardcore is nothing a month. 10g a day takes 4-5 hours if you farm or do dungeons up to you. If you know some of good farm places it is even easier buy hey? casuals dont have to do any research either right..they are special.

OP, you wont find out until a maybe day before it comes out (if it comes out), because Arenanet either:

1) Doesnt know how to communicate properly
2) Do not want their posts to be quoted when they don’t deliver
3) Do not know themselves when it will come
4) Have axed the idea and hope you forget about it so they can add more armour with higher stats to the game
5) All of the above

i hope some news with next patch cause actualy need only precursor for finish my legendary, and i actualy try to obtain it via Mystic Forge, atm 600xGold GS no precursor…. some friend take 2x down with 130xGold GS, is a litle unfair Q_Q

they just need to up the drop rate a little that is all, maybe more so on the tougher events.

why did they remove precursors dropping from dragon chests, well not remove but make the chance 0.000000000001%

it’s stupid, if they make them rare then they get expensive, why not make them a little more common, why do they have a “top notch” economist working in a video game if he can’t do his job properly?
