I recently bought this game and I am really excited to play, but, I live outside the NA and the EU therefore lag is a very big issue for me, however, players from my country say that Blackgate is the best server since there is little or no lag, but as you all know, Blackgate is always Full, is there, by chance, a time period during the day where the server opens up, like you know, when players decide to sleep maybe, really at this point, I don’t mind stayin up all night just to login….

Yes, there is still lag, but, for some reason there are several Aussies that are on Blackgate, a couple are in our guild.
I would like to know the answer to the OP’s question myself as we have a guildy that desperately needs to get here as he missed our move due to being away at the time we transferred and has been trying to get over for nearly two months now.

Its an American server. Just pick a time late in the day (Est or Pst), convert it to your time, and logon then. Blackgate should be open then.

The person trying to transfer has tried at every hour imaginable, BG is always returning the statement that the server is full. If a server is full just how can you guest to a full server? Makes no sense whatsoever.

Well you can get into a “full” map so I’m not surprised you can get onto a “full” server. It’s likely an arbitrary limit to prevent mass amount of people from freely going to a specific server and overloading it. For all we know, the full designation pops when a server is at 80% capacity.

Remember, guesting to a Full server has more likelihood that you will end up in overflow. Luckily, for us, ANet offers up this opportunity, instead of queues. =)

Full as in Accounts on it not players playing at said times.

The person trying to transfer has tried at every hour imaginable, BG is always returning the statement that the server is full. If a server is full just how can you guest to a full server? Makes no sense whatsoever.

They must be logging in at the worst times then; I play almost everyday, and every other day guest to BG to get shards; anytime after 8-9PM (Est) I’ve seen it at Very High and not full. Bad luck I guess?
