Just in case the topic is cut off a little, the question is when/if name changes are coming for money/gems. May as well add character appearance to the list as well. I’d just like to know if this is in the works or not, hopefully from a dev.

I honestly don’t see why this will ever be implemented. You created your character, if you weren’t happy with it you shouldn’t have clicked ‘play’.

I don’t have an issue with stuff you could realistically change like hair, but I don’t see why face/names will ever warrant being changed.

It’s probably way low on the priority list, though.

Twaddlefish, people don’t just ‘realistically’ change their hair in real life – this may come as a shock to you, but people also change their name ‘realistically’ too.

And, oh, it’s perfectly possible that somebody clicked ‘play’ totally happy with their character, and then a few weeks down the line thinks of an even cooler username.

Just because somebody wants a change, doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t happy with what they created in the first place.

To be honest, the fact you ‘honestly don’t see why this would ever be implemented’, kinda worries me.

It’s pretty obvious that Anet would stand to make a ton of money by adding this to the gem store.
