I mean when am I gonna start getting armor that looks different than the starter gear. I looked at the 80 exotic gear in the trading post and theres nothing that looks like how it did on the character create menu. The 80 swords look cool though. Im lvl 58.

Lots of stuff isn’t on the TP.

There’s exclusive armour from:

• Cultural vendors
• Karma merchants
• Gem store
• Dungeons
• Heart of Thorns meta-event rewards
• Orders (Durmand Priory, etc.)

Not to mention Outfits, which are from the gem store too (but none of the outfits feature on the character creation screen).

All of the armor on the character creation menus is avaliable by playing the game, though much of it is Karma gear, which is bind on acquire. That’s why you can’t find it on the AH.

In fact, pretty much all non-crafted gear other than one set per weight of dropped exotic skins is bind on acquire with very few exceptions. Check out the dungeon vendor, or just look through your wardrobe and wiki the name of the skin you’re interested in to see how to acquire it.

Go to your bank, then Wardrobe tab, then review all the armors and weapons to your heart content and find which are cool to you. Then search that item names on google or wiki to find how to acquire.

Also, the quickest way to directly wiki an armor skin to see how to acquire it is to:

• Type /wiki into your chat box, followed by a space
• Hold your SHIFT key and left click on the actual skin icon in your wardrobe to link the skin into your chat box

Sending this “/wiki [Linked Skin Name]” will automatically open the GW2 wiki and show results for that skin. Selecting the item displayed in the search results that possesses that skin will show you the item information page, which includes acquisition methods.
