Did I miss it ?
It was probably put into a folder labeled “archive” along with the Rewards CDI, the PVE combat CDI, and the CDI for precursors. It was a round filing cabinet usually with a bag in it to catch the files.
Soon™.
In seriousness, Chris posted something a while back saying that they were going to set up a new forum-like system where they could more effectively control the conversation without affecting people’s abilities to post on the regular forums. It’d be great to hear an update though!
Edit: Here is the post.
GerdDerm, I’d love it if we had an FAQ sticky…

Well, there is a FAQ Sticky, but I suppose it is not what you were hoping for.
I’m pretty sure Gaile posted about it, more recently, as well. You can read through her posts, if you so desire.
Good luck.
I guess they will be waiting until most staff is back in the office again from their winter holidays and Season 2 is over.
After that they will propably start gathering feedback and conduct CDI´s as well.
Maybe they will also wait until the Forum Specialist Program is live and active so they can help with gathering all the feedback from the CDI´s.
We are definitely looking forward to the CDIs in the new year. It was a natural break, with the holidays, but I feel sure we’ll be picking them up in the coming weeks.

After the Guild Raid CDI, IDK that Chris was amped up to start a GvG one. That thread got pretty salty for no reason at all. When it comes to raiding and GvG, players can’t help themselves in getting so worked up about it that they feel like they need to hurl personal insults at each other over personal opinions. It’s all really sad.
That’s what they said, but the amount of digression was pretty low IMO. I hope they redo it, GW2 needs more challenging content and aborting the CDI prematurely was a mistake IMO. Most of the “off topic” discussion I remember was from two ANet employees asking multiple questions at once, which created a lot of simultaneous conversations (and the ensuing confusion).
I think a new format will help, where different topics can be discussed in separate threads, and really hope they revisit the raiding discussion.
Does it matter when any CDIs start or end. There are pages and pages CDIs. Many many very good ideas have been distilled and packaged for the Devs see without even read more than a paragraph. Yet, we see zero action on virtually any of them and probably the ones that did see the light of day, were probably already being working on in one form or another, so would be put in to the game regardless of any CDI.
Heck, we got more action on issues in WvW after a few devs played with real WvW guilds in the fall tournament. But, not surprisingly, with the exception of changing some siege blueprint sizes (that must have been a MASSIVE task) changes like no white swords were never requested by anyone in a CDI or forum post.
The reality is, no amount CDI information is going to change how the devs see the direction and mechanics of the game. Unless you think another 40 pages of posts on a particular subject is going to change things.
CDI = subject not being worked on or planing to be worked on. If you’d like something in GW2, pray that no CDI is made on it cause it means it won’t being develloped.
