Q:

So I’ve barely logged on in the past month, I have several 80’s, the grind for a legendary doesn’t interest me (as I personally feel they are all hideous looking, and not worth the effort put into them. Just my opinion of course.) I’m bored out of my mind.

5 man DPS centric dungeons aren’t doing it for me, and WvW is extremely uninteresting to me at this point due to the lack of tactical battles, small skirmishes being unimportant, and lack of owner ship feeling when claiming a Tower/Keep etc.

So my question is simply this.

When will we get large scale cooperative play that isn’t a mindless Zerg, such as raids? Something that encourages a balance of dps and support players and requires tactics and skill? I want to engage Zhatain (or another Elder Dragon.) with a small army of friends (Say 10-20, and real players not NPCs) in battle, not just click and auto shoot him from a gun ship losing any epic feeling the encounter had up until that point.

GW2’s combat system with content developed for tactical large team play that encourages a mix of support and dps players could be amazing… so where is it?

(and no current Dragons are mindless zergs and do not count.)

I would like to see Anet’s spin on raids for sure (not traditional raiding). Something like:
- 10-15 players
- boss arena with waves of mobs and every X waves a boss
- timed w/ leader boards like they did on some challenge modes in gw1
- cool skins as rewards (not gear based like all other mmos)

It would be competitive for guilds and challenging enough for most players. Please make it happen anet :-)

doubt it that you will ever get it.
1. GW1 max amount of players was 8.
2. They did state when the game was coming out that they don’t want a big party size for dungeons, because a) getting a full party would be harder b) close small group play is much more demanding.

Please, stop asking for them. I understand you haven’t been on in the last month, but every week we see at least 1-5 threads about raiding. This is not a raiding game. It will never be a raiding game. If you’d like a raiding game, there’s WoW or the superior Rift. Take your pick.

However, this game is what it is and isn’t what it isn’t. It is a cooperative play PvE, sPvP, WvW, exploration partial sandbox-partial rollercoaster game of fun things that the player can pick and choose to do however they’d like. It is NOT a raid centric jump from one raid to the next for rare, low drop items that help boost stats to lead to the next raid of same flavor, but different paid scheme.

Easy mode raids are in the form of world events.
Normal mode raids are in the form of grenth/lyssa/balth.

When ESO comes out i guess. (and Neverwinter)
