Yep. Made it. Realized I wanted other legendary. Can’t post it. =( Not sure what to say, but I thought my story might get a laugh at dumb I was lol. Was like ah YE! Then I made Gift of Incinerator and got Spark and was like….no…I want Quip >.> Finished making Incinerator anyway because 75% of the way there is too much to stop.

Looking for advice at this point. I’d contact Customer Support, but I doubt it’d get leeway into this kinda thing.

Yes customer support will not fix. You make step to make it on purpose as you say. If did not account bind can maybe sell on TP.

Why don’t you just finish incinerator, sell it, and buy quip and pocket the extra gold?

I don’t have enough gold to list. I have like 50 silver remaining and nothing in my material storage. I need 160 gold to list it, then have enough to turn around and buy Quip. I’m at the point I’m telling people I will give them Incinerator flat out, no strings if they gimme Quip. But apparently that sounds suspicious =( Its an honest trade, I’m more than willing lol but people are suspicious because society is mean.

He said his pre was made from collections which are bound so he can’t sell it. The good news is that incini is actually about 600-800g(?) more to craft bringing your Roi on the collection up a bit. Honestly, Chaos Gun is only 300g right now so you’re better of just buying it off the TP. I know that doesn’t seem as ‘legendary’ but if it would make it better, you could buy the Chaos Gun and then move the ‘journey’ to the other 1200ish gold worth of things you’ll need to finish. Besides, dagger is a great weapon for literally every profession that can weild one so it definitely won’t go to waste.

Not to critics you but did you complete the legendary or just start it. what i did was look on the wiki to check which 1 i was getting. Which 1 did u pick too?

So the long story: I was playing D/P thief a while and was like “Hey, I have enough for Gift of baelfire and my chef/weaponsmith are at 400”. So I got the Gift of Incinerator, then got map complete for Gift of Mastery. Then my buddy was like “yo I got spark, you want” and I said yes. At that point I was almost done, so I spent about a week getting Gift of Fortune (this whole process is about 4 months of effort, and my first legendary ever…which is more awkward…) and decided I liked Quip better. But, I was almost done and thought “Well I can sell it right? Then buy Quip”. Forgot about listing fees, thwarted my plan to own my legendary.

Edit: I play pistol/pistol thief now. So ye…

I wouldn’t say you are a bad player we all stated some where, just get the hang of something with a your character and your are set.

I also wouldn’t say i’m the best player around but i have it were each of my characters can do a particular task and i have them do it.

Ask a friend to loan you the listing fee. Sell incinerator, then make quip and you’ll have lot of gold left over. Quip’s precursor went under 300 gold and T6 took a dive. So if you’re not starved of karma and spirit shards, you will get the legendary you want with extra gold leftover.

I’m trying that, no one is biting. >.< Try harder?

Anyone who would judge you as being a “bad player” because of this is an idiot.

Being a good player of any game is about experience and skill while actually playing; not never making a mistake while (pretend) crafting.

Sell all mats you have (cloth, leather, wood, cooking ingredients..) – if you know you don’t need them in foreseeable future. If you’ve got enough Karma turn it into T4 leather and sell. Mats go really well right now.

Even if it were crafted through masteries, both the precursor and legendary are sellable. Only the new legendaries and precursors are not sellable.

On this though… it definitely sounds suspicious and I feel for you, because I believe you.

I think there should be a trade function like in GW1, where you each had to accept the trade, so no one would lose out over genuine things like this.

Yes and yet it aint one becouse you know people got scamed in gw1 aswell.
People put correct item then switched it and other person dident look closely and accepted.

So gw2 learned from that and put in a trading post were you have to have gold to be able to list at all making it impossible to scam and also acting as a gold sink.

This is karma telling you not to make Quip because it’s awful.

I don’t get a listing fee back if I remove it from listing right? Debating just making two ascended pistols and then reskinning em or something =/.

You lose the listing fee, so honestly, I would suggest to just leave it on.

There’s no guarantee someone won’t undercut you again anyways. Just weather it out.

It’s been less than a day, and honestly with all this effort, there’s really no point in rushing to get it out.

It happens all the time with legendaries. Sometimes they sell in a few hours, sometimes it takes a week or longer. Don’t take it off the TP yet, give it some time. Resist your impatience!
