Most pve maps on my server are completely deserted. When all of you are not congregating at The Shatterer, Tequatl the sunless, or the claw of jormag where are you? Seriously almost everywhere i go there is NO ONE. WHERE DO YOU GO?

Because there’s nothing challenging or interesting about them. They don’t drop any items that are sought after.

Open world boss content with no requirement for strategy or grouping was dead on arrival. That much should be clear by now.

Dungeons / Fractals.

Even WvW is stupid in its current state and is nothing more than Zerging or PvDoor.

I’m always in Queensdale! Farming T1 Mats and doing dailies.

They’re all in CoF, where the big money is.

Boss design is greatly lacking like Zeldain says, however in desolation you ll have to be there 40 minutes before because else you ll end up in overflow and then no dragon for you.

People are mostly in fractals & WvW. At least desolation its perma queue for WvW. Dunno, maybe you are also on a death server?

PvDoor if you are the strongest server, if you are the weakest of the 3 then u ll mostly get ganked by multiple zergs where ever you go. There seems to be 1 queue for all 3 servers while the weaker server should have priority. At times the strongest server has 3 zergs on our bl and still we get the queue.

Not exactly

People go where the play is most rewarding for the least effort.
Even I’m doing this at the moment.

The rewards in this game have been drip-fed at such a stingy rate, it’s no surprise people are trying to make as much money as quickly as possible. They know the good stuff will be taken away from them, so they’re hoarding it while they can.

The market is controlled by abusive players who exploited early and were not punished for doing so.

In addition, gameplay changes are being dictated by those ArenaNet see as “dedicated”.
In reality, a huge amount of these “dedicated” players are ones who will never spend a dime in the gemstore. They have no need to. They’re unemployed and/or students. They have no money to spend. They can play all day, make gold and buy anything from the gemstore with in-game gold. These people demand more because they play more and get bored quicker, yet will never give ArenaNet a penny.

The core of this game is dementedly broken, and the feedback loops have been designed to be so exploitative as to be abusive.

I think I’m one of these people, except I’ve probably spent £500 on gems. I play MMOs because I can’t get out of the house, so yes I’m unemployed and I can play all day. But I don’t believe Arenanet benefits those who play all day. Dailies and monthlies are account bound, means I can’t get laurels for all eleven characters on an equal basis (7 are level 80), I’d love to be able to repeat dailies on each character. Tell me, I’m interested, what game changes have been implemented to benefit me as a ‘dedicated’ player?

I’m always AFK in lion’s arch, sometimes I switch back to GW2 to take a glance at my awesome character then continue being AFK
