Where is Wintersday?
your not crazy. colin said on a post in the news section that it was today. he posted November 2nd, 2015 about upcoming 2015 attractions. I think the ESL PvP league has delayed it.
if your hosting a PvP game, you don’t make people restart. I am sure after it is over for today.
It’s early yet anyway. Tuesday patches generally come anywhere from 11 am to 3 pm Pacific and it’s only past 9 am Pacific now. They never have a set time to drop a Tuesday patch.
That is really sad if the ESL stuff is delaying Winterfest. I will not spend money this season if I find out that is why the festival was delayed.
Am I tripping or was it supposed to start like… 10 minutes ago? Was it moved? :/
I see… it was moved… meh
Moved?
I REALLY, REALLY don’t like it. I’ve been playing GW2 long enough to get bored and a festival like that is really a very expected change. On the top of that I feel a bit depressed today and this is making me angry. And there was no news about that schedule change either!
http://gw2timer.com/ says Winterasday is coming in 2 weeks! WTF Anet!
even my character started randomly cursing again! In his sleep! Because he heard the news !
“Lyssa confound you!” kitten it!

The patch will be out today, as was announced on the official forums, website, etc. There is NEVER a scheduled time for patches, and that’s the case because sometimes stuff happens and delays happen. Thus, they don’t have an official release time to avoid the “Omg you guys didn’t put the patch up on time”. So, nothing was “moved” or changed; it’s just not in yet.

Its been a usual 9am pst since daylight savings and HoT launch.
They haven’t released the patch earlier than what they usually have in the past. Let the hyperbole begin!
good lord…
People will even use PvP as an excuse for their own ignorance now.
PvP has nothing to do with why the patch isn’t out yet.
It’s still stupidly early in the morning for them.

You know the patch usually come at noon pst right?
Maybe give ’em a few more hours before getting upset…
Actually the gem shop changes have been fairly reliably at 9 am Pacific. New builds, not so much.
Thanks to the first few people in this thread for making me pointlessly search for the alleged announcement that it was “moved” ><
People using belittling wording like whining/qqing" are not taken seriously by me
Same for people posting only to tell others not to post (“deal with it”-posts)

Yeah but many of those are added to the game in prior patches. The only change is to make the item obtainable.

All (except Oct 23 and Feb 24) were at 9am pst, with a few delayed till not even 10.

Welp, I don’t know how much I can rely on GW2 timer but it has changed 50 minutes ago and now shows that Wintersday comes in a bit less than 2 weeks… :/
And it’s a late evening where I am. I’ll see what happens around 1a.m. my time, usually something happens then. But I don’t like how there’s no info on the event.
Im guessing 2 more hours and then perhaps the patch. Or the PvP hotfix isnt working right and its delaying it. Kappa

I wouldn’t use gw2timer as a news source. And yeah, it’s around 1am your time, but it’s only 9am at Anet’s offices right now. So, yeah. Just gotta wait.
Come on Anet! Just release the patch!!!!!

Its 10 am Pacific time right now.
Why do people not get that 9am is usual time?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/updates
They finish patch, wait to push it in morning so they have a full work day to fix things.
I don’t care if its delayed but I care that people don’t get there is a usual time for the bi-weekly patch.
I’ll wait…. and if nothing happens I start playing Dragon Age Inquisition :P

What part of, you’re just wrong don’t you get ?
Not all updates have come at 9am. In fact many more have come out just passed noon pst or even later.
I’m going to be honest Anet should have actually told us a bit more information than the vague info that they gave given us to be honest

This. For every patch that has come out around 9am PST there is a patch that was delayed for 2+ hours. There have even been a few that were delayed so much they came out at the end of the day for me.

I totally agree. I paid for the game and I expect clear info. Or at least a clear info that they don’t know something. I know it’s not “normal” for companies to admit they don’t know something but I’d appreciate that 100 times more than NOT having any info…
“Hey everybody! We moved Christmas! Not sure for when, but you’re gonna wait for your presents a bit longer this year! Take care!”
Perhaps recently they’ve managed earlier builds, but in the past three years many a Tuesday build has been much later in the day. I know because I have to leave the computer around 5:30 pm Eastern on Tuesdays, based on a promise to my husband many years ago. So I am keenly aware of how little time I often have to enjoy all the new stuff before I am gone for the evening.
I won’t qq i just hope it will be in an hour of two, wintersday is my favourite thing ingame.
The hot fixes happen whenever they are ready, but normal bi-weekly content patch always Tuesday morning. Only one I remember being delay was Halloween 2014.
The time is right there in the main patch notes on the right side of post. Not talking about hot fixes that are additions to that, those usually happened around reset. (Screws up teq prep)

Can you screenshot this time stamp? I’d love to see something more specific than “About a year ago.” I’m not being snide, I’m sincerely curious, I’ve never found a way to see exactly when something was posted once it gets into the “about x hours/days/weeks/years ago.”
It will be here soon, they’re combining it with fractal fixes and pvp balance fixes. It’s just a big update

Hover your mouse over the “About a year ago.” …

Hover or click time. Mine shows me exact date and time by default.

Yeah, except they haven’t “moved” anything; it’s just not in yet . . .
Cool! Doing that I see that last year’s Wintersday came out just after 5 pm Eastern. And the post HoT builds seem to be around 4 to 5 pm Eastern. At least my timestamps on the popup are around there.
So we’re still in the usual ball park.
Seriously…
They have never promised that a patch like this happen at a certain time, only that it happens on a certain day.

Mine says wintersday 2014 was Dec 16 9:06 am.
