Guild Wars 2

First off I love this freakin game!!!

Just one of the first things I was excited for was to get a guild hall and start checking the guild battles out. I have heard that we were promised GvG by Anet is this true?

Where did you hear that? Did you not read any of the years of promotional material or reviews or even the website before buying the game?

Actually I didn’t.. I came into this with an open slate on purpose as I wanted to know the game from scratch.

The title does not imply that there will be battles between in-game player created guilds. I’m sorry that you believed it did. It is definitely possible that there will be GvG in the future, and I believe it will happen personally. It is just going to take time. But the name Guild Wars has nothing to do with that.

I miss GvG.
Hopefully they will add this in at some point.

I played GW for over 3 years, it just seems like a huge feature that generated tons of fun for years in the first game. Why would they kill it?

There is currently no Guild Wars in Guild Wars.

The guild wars took place in1013AE and ended in 1070AE between Orr Kryta and Ascalon . They also indirectly led to the Charr rise to power which is where GW1 began.

The game is called GUILD WARS which implies a war between GUILDS, it DOES imply that the game is about GUILD WARS its the freakin name of the game….
Yes I know Guild Wars 2 is different to Guild Wars 1, its a completely different game and the devs did not say anything about future GvG as of yet. That does not matter, the OP is simply asking where is the guild wars in the game, not asking what the name of this game is, and to say the name Guild Wars does not imply Guild Wars is just stupidity.
