Once I saw the Elona location and throwbacks to Nightfall I was really hoping to see class specializations for a Spear/Shield (Paragon) and two handed Scythe (Dervish).

I was a big fan of Nightfall and really enjoyed the classes it added, and being able to have a Paragon or Dervish combat experience would have been great, and I figured it was a bit of a no brainer. Missed opportunity if you ask me.

A Warrior with two daggers doesn’t remind me of the Sunspears at all. Give him a shield and throwing spear with some shout skills and I’d be hooked. I guess a lot has changed in 250 years.

Both of those professions are very human centric since their lore is basically people chosen by the human gods. Every other race except humans cannot have paragons or dervishes. There are a lot of things that worked great in gw but cannot work in gw2 because they are two different games.

I am pretty sure that Spellbreaker will be like a paragon. You will not see new weapon types, forget that. They will play around with the existing weapons.
