So right now I have plenty of karma, and nothing to do with it.

-I have a full set of exotic armor.
-I have all the cooking mats/recipes I need.
-I have no need for Orrian Jewelry boxes that cost 4500 karma and give nothing but 500 karma back.

What’s left to spend it on?

Orrian boxes will get you about 10-20 gold per around 500k Karma. Not sure what you mean.

You can also purchase karma exotics and throw them in the Mystic Forge to get an exotic you can sell.

Well maybe it’s just bad luck then. All i got was a bunch of karma items, 4 obsidian shards, and 33s worth of grays. What drops from one of those boxes that’s worth selling?

Lodestones. Very, very rarely.

I have done both of the above suggestions and have found that orr boxes to be more profitable. Before buying the boxes I suggest you acquire all the karma boosters before hand (ice cream, banner, booster…), to resupply on any karma vials or bottles that drop.

+1 for thirst slayer.

Otherwise buy a lot of Obsidian Shards. Sooner or later you might need them (if you ever want to craft a legendary weapon for example). Otherwise just keep the karma until you really need it. You never know if Anet might implement something new which needs karma.

Good karma conversions are closely guarded secrets.

I can convert 1 point of karma into about 15c.
