Which Ascended Amulet and which infusion.....
Not going to buy anything until the missing stat sets are introduced. No point in wasting laurels. Especially seeing how long it takes for even a single ascended piece.

I am in majority PVT gear as well (Ele), with a little bit of Knight stuff for extra precision. My current amulet is berserker though; think its one of the first things I bought when I got 80. I was originally working on making the emerald part of the triforge amulet, but with the ascended pieces I’m better off getting one of those. As for my Ele I feel Vit and Toughness is probably my best bet so I will be getting a PVT amulet since I still have a rather low health pool, but my survivability is fine, but just what I was originally going to do anyways.
As far as infusion I am not sure to be honest. I think I’ll benefit more in the long run with gold infusion potentially. Just because I’m a cook and have tons of magic find food and other sources of magic find if I want it. As far as gold find, its pretty rare.

As a crit build ranger, I’m getting the same one too, but will probably go with the 15% karma infusion. I don’t have any other MF gear or stats and I don’t know if 20% will really be that useful to me. My drops are so horrible as it is, I can’t even get Orr champions to drop porous bones.
But I can’t get over buying the jewelry boxes with karma, so that’s probably my way to go.
Going for Zerk Amulet, but cannot decide wether to put it on guard or war tbh.. as for infusion, Mf would be nice, but 5 ar is useful.
I’m going for a Syzygy because since my Ranger’s already a “jack of all trades” of sorts, his trinkets might as well be the same.
Infusion… eh, either MF or Karma. I can always use a bit more of either.
I guess i will get the upgrade from my current amulet, which is Esmerald Pendant (PVT)

The thing is for me atleast, I wont get a neck with a utility infusion slot.
Why?
Because we dont know yet what offensive and defensive infusions will come that are of the currently utility quality (which is higher than the AR or +stat infusions). Getting a utility infusion now might lock you out of nice stats, seeing the high MF value on the utility infusion leads me to think that we will see offensive and defensive infusions with quite nice stats in the future. Or if you really want the high stats in the future you might have to go with the much more expensive omni approach.

Same, utility slot stinks, better get offensive/def for higher AR and stats.
Looking through the wiki and doing some thinking, I expect the “fine” version of stat infusions that dont have AR on them will be aither +10 or +15 depending how much AR is worth when it comes to stat budget on infusions.
The utility stats does nothing really except when running around farming, at which point the ascended pieces are pretty much overkill anyways.
In the future when laurels get easier to obtain, if they ever will, it might be a different story, but now when it takes one month per piece I would recommend saving it for a good buy. Which means, just do some fractals and get a +5AR for now if you must fill the slot.

I expect that when they launch Ascended armors wont make the sames mistakes again.

Was very disappointed when I saw the stat distribution on these items.
I prefer to mix & match trinkets between Knight and Valkyrie for both my ranger and guardian. I do this with crafted armour pieces as well.

I’m not exactly sure but let’s say utilty infusions stacked u’d get 60%+gold/karma/mf that would be quite too much of a boost.
