Which Class to Duo with Herald? Help!!
Well for pve your in luck. Just about anything works with anything so just play whatever class you like. Revenant is easy mode for pve stuffs. Me personally, I like mesmers because of their fighting style. But if you want just a easy class to use for farming I would reccomended guardian. Many use that class because it has great tagging capabilities. But like I said. Anything works fairly well in pve so just play what class you find most enjoyable

I guess I should mention that we WvW roam duo quite a bit as well as PvE.
We have tried Reaper (was fun, but Reaper is selfish and Herald is very… selfless in terms of boon giving/support).
We have tried Druid (also fun, for things that need the zerker-druid heals. Feel like the loss of DPS for the limited heals in Zerk isn’t justified. Possible great pair for WvW).
Considering Chronomancer (as you said, Mesmer is fun), and maaybe Dragon Hunter/Berserker but I don’t know.
Thanks for responding!
Actually rev reaper is good because they feed boons to reaper. But anywho. A lot can differentiate between the diff builds you use. I would still suggest playing what you find most enjoyable. But if you are considering chronomancer then believe me that you will have a lot of diff stuffs you can do. Also in wvw you can be a huge help by making use of your continuum shift in order to use certain skills 2 times. Like I can double down using continuum shift and throw a grav well and well of calamity onto a player or players 2 times in a row and cause some pretty intense damage. Also in a 2v2 fight you could always choose to be “that guy” and use signet of humility on a player 2 times in a row using continuum shift.

Oh and if you disn’t know what that does, it turns your target into a Moa bird for 10 seconds lol. So you can turn him into a Moa for up to 20s. Trololololol

Chrono-Herald. Facet of Nature buffs quickness boosts from the Chrono.
Also chrono has a lot of utility now for team fights by taking the wells grant alacrity trait. I can keep up permanent alacrity on my chrono as well as maintain a high amount on my teammates. Which who wouldn’t like decreased cooldowns.

ON Chrono, what stat line do you use? Condi or Power based?
Chrono+Herald is correct. Facet of Nature makes Quickness upkeep for both of them a breeze and boon upkeep makes Chrono’s phantasms (which in a 5 man group are usually ignored) much more powerful. Chrono can inflict a lot of hard and soft CC and/or bleeds (depending on stat setup and offhand weapons) that Heralds aren’t too attuned to and with all the Quickness the Herald can more sensibly use Dwarf over Assassin for sustain rather than just using Assassin for Impossible Odds (which is incompatible with Facet of Nature anyway).

Mesmer in PvE ultimately relies on power but numbers coming in from Viper pistol/bleed builds are nothing to shy away from either. Mesmer’s most natural condi is confusion what has limited use in PvE but can still hit certain enemies hard.
