What I’m wondering is when was he ever made/promoted to ‘Captain’?
I remember Kiel assigning him as quartermaster during the end of first season, but that was it. I don’t recall anything of him becoming a Capt.
Another thing, [IF] the Captain Evon is legit, and if there is infact him (real) and a doppelganger running around – I’d suspect the fake one would go try to gain influence and hang around Kiel and Magnus.

He was running for the Captain’s Council, so he has to be a Captain. Mind you, that just means you own and technically command a ship, it doesn’t even have to be much of one. As the head of the Black Lion, I’m sure he owns several ships.

Hasn’t been confirmed one way or the other, that was just another of the hypotheses as to who it could be.
