Q:
Which ascended slot first??
A:
Should I assume you already have trinkets? They’re the biggest stat increase items between exotic and ascended… I think… and also the easiest to get probably (don’t require crafting).
There’s very little difference power-wise between exotic and ascended armour, so if your main incentive is prepping for raids I’d say start with weapons if it’s only between those two.
In saying that though, I’d only do that if you’re sure of the weapons you most enjoy using/find most useful. Armour would be always useful for your character whereas you might want to weapon swap and experiment a lot with weapon choice (eg. elite spec weapon).
The other thing about weapons is if you use say greatsword and longbow you’ll need to increase two crafting professions instead of only one for armour.
As for activities, save up kittentonnes of silk…
Edit wow I type slowly…

The bulk of the stats will be provided with ascended trinkets. So if you haven’t got them already I suggest you start there.
Otherwise it’s generally accepted that ascended weapons have a higher priority than ascended armor because the weapons increase both stats and base weapon damage (which is a multiplier) while armor increases stats and defense (which is only added to your toughness) As a result you get more out of ascended weapons than armor. (It’s about 5% more damage).

Maybe it’s just my stupid luck, but try and do Tequatl at least once a day (I’ve had three ascended weapons drop from him). I’ve found that weapons drop far more frequently than armor. It really depends on your luck with RNG
Also, silverwastes is a decent source of the ascended materials you’ll need, to say nothing of the metric ton of silk.

I can do teq and when the weapon drops i then change its stats using mystic forge right?

Lets tell you another story.
Doing Teq every(!) day at least one time ( mostly twice or 3 times) and in all that days since last sept (2014), totally 2 asc weapon chests from him .
thats about about 365 runs for one chest at me at teq
rng is rng
but teq is quite ok since its almost everytime successfull and 2 g + x worth
yes you can change them also at myst forge to the stats you want

Trinkets —> Weapons —> Armor is typically the way to go to get quickest benefits.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
I suggest doing the PvP dailies (all 4) and the reward tracks. I have gotten a full set worth of ascended armor chests and about 8 ascended weapon chests. Much cheaper than crafting them but you do rely on RNG more.

Which reward tracks are you talking about exactly??

Any of them work as you want the loot boxes. I normally hoard those loot boxes until one of the PvP weekends with the MF buff and then open all of them. I’ve gotten most of them over the past six months or so just doing the daily achievements.
Trinkets first, because they’re the easiest to obtain (you can get them just by logging in) After your trinkets, invest your laurels in to acsended recipies, and then +4 infusions while you work on the other stuff.
Weapons second, because you deal damage a lot more often than you take damage in GW2.
Armor third, because it’s a bigger stat boost than infusions.
Infusions last, because the cost for one additional stat point from a +5 infusion is so astronomical, and you could literally use the +4 stuff from laurels and not even notice, but… more stats is more stats, even if it’s just +12
Finally, be happy because you maxed out your gear, and you’ll never have to worry about grinding out stats again!

Get a weapon first 100% its where most of the advantage of Ascended level stuff sits.
Absolutely trinkets first. You can get a good chunk of AR just from those.
Weapons are next- getting from 400-500 is a little more costly than getting armour-crafting up, but the weapons you make are far cheaper and have a good stat increase. Most ascended weapons cost around 40-50g to craft if you were to purchase all materials.
Backpiece next. If you want Mawdrey, start working towards her at the beginning as she does require some time to complete (time-gated).
Armour last. I tried working out which piece was the most cost effective to make first (for the best stat increase) but for heavy (which is what I calculated for) the costs scaled perfectly with the stat increase. For example, chest is the most expensive to make, but gives the most significant stat increase (not %-wise though).
If you’re going strictly for AR, of course make the cheaper parts first- feet, hands and head.
Make sure you’re doing fractals daily to earn fractal relics, so you can infuse your gear with +5 Versatile Infusions.

I have done all the pvp dailies on two accounts and have gotten exactly nada from in terms of ascended armor or weapon boxes, What I have gotten are ascended junk rings. So this is not a reliable method for all to say the least.
The best chances for ascended drops (armor/weapons) come from higher level fractals.

I never said that it was.

Not sure what that was then.
