Who is your favorite of the elder dragons?
Glint is my fav. Don’t like the elders.
(edited by Mathias.9657)
Kral & Primodus. Because Kral is biggest and Primodus is just kitten
i got to say Bubbles because we dont know much about him or her and also this elder dragon is the deep sea dragon he can control watter may not seem like much but here is what i be leave bubbles can do.
1. 100+foot high sanamis
2. whorl pools size of divinitys reach
3. weather control
4. create huge riptides
5. create huge amounts of watter pressure which can crush a sub like a tin can.
i really cant wate for bubbles to come out.
They’re just a bunch of big, dumb, personality-deprived lizards. The only thing compelling about them is what they might look like. I hope future expansions don’t all focus on the dragons as much as GW2 focused on zhaitan and his army. They just aren’t interesting and don’t offer anything relatable.

I agree. I don’t like any of them. Dragons in GW2 are completely meh without personality. That’s why I said Glint was my favorite.. amazing dragon from GW1.
Jormag! I don’t know why but ever since i picked up guild wars 2 i have absolutely loved Jormag and the whole corrupted ice theme. Hell i even tricked out my norn to look partially corrupted! I’m also getting frostfang soon to complete my look lol. I’m also very intrigued about what Anet will do with Jormag’s tooth in The great lodge (Hoelbrak)
Kralkatorrik. When I first saw the dragonbrand I was astonished. Walked up the hill and there it was. It looked like a whole different world, something from horror stories. It’s just so twisted, I love it.
I remain undecided between Kralkatorrik, Jormag and Primordus. All of the 3 have amazing stuff, I’m just looking forward to the first expansion which will involve one of the 3.
Kralkatorrik
PS: I want a Shatterer MINI Pet! Love the looks ^^
PS2: Want a branded charr gear set… It looks +9000% better than the rest of the charr skins!
Mordremoth :O
See what I did thurr?
“You can’t have more than 10 HS decks because that would confuse people”
“30 fps is more cinematic”

No, what did you do ?
Currently playing Heart of Thorns.
If you watch Wooden Potatoe’s “GW2 Mysteries” on youtube there’s a relatively founded theory about the existence of a 6th Elder Dragon, whose name appears to be Mordremoth
This is all speculation, of course.

Kralkatorrik, because he’s the largest of all Elder Dragons, at least what we know of.

It’s been confirmed by Colin Johanson that there is an Elder Jungle Dragon.

Kuunavang is my favorite dragon in all of the Guild Wars franchise. I don’t have a favorite dragon in Guild Wars 2. The Guild Wars 2 dragon champions don’t really have any personality or character, they’re just big noisy piñatas, but if I had to pick one I’d go with Shatterer for no reason other than I think he looks (possibly as much as 20%) cooler than the others. As for the Elder Dragons, the only one I’ve seen is Zhaitan, and he was a mess.
I do hope the deep sea dragon’s name really is Bubbles. That would be awesome.
Jormag is my favorite, I like that you can fight him everyday, and you don’t have to deal with that whole personal story business, just have to be in Frostgorge. Oh, wait his name is CLAW OF Jormag.
Gotta admit and say I could give less than 2 craps about the dragons. They aren’t dangerous or impressive at all to me, I have seen better harder to kill dragons in nearly every other MMO. Guild Wars 2 is an awesome game, but they really dropped the ball on dragons/raid bosses.
So… how many Elder Dragons have you killed so far?
Just going to start an argument with fanboys, so I’ll just say I don’t care for the dragons. Suffice to say Zhaitan is the biggest joke I have ever seen.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.

One, and there was no sense of triumph, no joy of victory, no fervent virtual high-fiving in the party, no ‘Woot, we did it!’, only a dull, glazed-over feeling of relief that the most boring, needlessly drawn-out, mind-numbing mission I have played in any game ever was finally over.

That pic makes me want to play GW1.

I care less about dragons as well. I like them for the impressive art work, but your argument was completely inaccurate. You have killed one at the most, so you can’t argue that the Dragons are or aren’t good to fight, if you only killed Zhaitan and wasn’t on a World Boss kinda Event!

Considering there is only one big dragon in game, it would seem that it’s a very accurate argument.
The feeling of beating the end all, be all of the game (especially a dragon end all, be all)should be more than…meh. It’s feedback that GW2 needs in order to improve upon content for further content releases.
I’m looking very much forward to seeing what they will do with the Deep Sea Dragon, but so far I like Jormag the most. First of all, Jormag’s face is very well designed, I really like his “horns” and ice spikes. The idea of Jormag being the nemesis of the Norn, that some of the Norn believe Jormag to actually be a spirit guide, and their whole belief around Jormag’s tooth, is also really well written. I’m looking forward to seeing the climax on that.

I vote for the sea dragon bubbles. We know pretty much nothing about him, but we already have made a nickname for him. I hope that when they release him NPCs will call him bubbles as a joke.
How to tell if we have only FOUGTH one dragon.
Mordremoth because he is jungle blight themed. Really hope they bring him in soon, perhaps to introduce him in a Living Story that ultimately leads to opening up a little more of the Maguma Jungle in the form of a new zone. That would be great!
Spoilers ofc.
1. Zhaitan does almost nothing since he rised Orr from the ocean. Does one tsunami (and he probably didn’t even planned it) that damaged LA, then sits doing almost nothing for about 100 years other than attacking some small villages. Ah yes, there is also his armada which only purpose was to explain to us why we couldn’t visit Elona or Cantha from the beginning. Then he gets roflstomped by Pact in 1-2 months it seems. Not very impressive for an elder dragon.
2. Kralkatorrik (?) awakens, gets roflstomped by 6 mortals, a wolf and a traitor dragon lieutenant, survives only because Logan decides to left the party to save the queen. Again not very impressive for an elder dragon.
3. Primordus can’t deal with a race of stone dwarfs for 200 years. To be honest it shows the dwarfs to be true heroes of the EOTN instead of Slayers of Great Destroyer. 50 years vs 200 years…
4. About Mordremoth and DSD we know almost nothing so far.
So it leaves me with the Jormag for now.
Just playing the game and not reading any books it seems Molten Alliance had done more harm to Tyria so far than all dragons combined.

Agree it was the best.

Mordremoth :O
See what I did thurr?
Personally, I can’t stand Mordremoth. The way he takes over your personal story, and uses you to forge the Pact and start killing his rivals… very annoying.
I wonder how long we’ll have to put up with it before we finally find Trahearne’s long dead corpse?
….
Oh, and Kralkatorrik’s my favorite.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.

Oh man I hope we find Trahearne in a ditch. I still rage about him coming into my story, stealing my sword, and leading my army.
