I’m here to actually talk about something I’ve noticed since exotic weapons hit the collection achievements. Their prices literally went through the roof, making it almost impossible to buy one of them now.

I’d like to clap my hands to that.

I’m so glad I bought finally broke down and bought Arthropoda a few weeks ago for 21g. Had my eye on it since it was released but it was always too expensive for me, poor as I am. If I had waited a few more weeks… yeesh.

I suppose champ farming is going to become very profitable for those lucky enough to get champ drops for a while, though.

I sold it for 8g months ago, so don’t feel too bad

This always happens after updates. Or shortly before.

Before the April patch the price of dyes skyrocketed, before this patch it was minis, both dropped shortly afterwards. Exotics had more of a delayed reaction because people weren’t sure which ones would be needed until the patch hit (or the day before when some people posted preview videos).

Prices will go back down after the impulse buyers and those who want to complete their collections ASAP get them and the supply catches up with demand again.

(It also happens with other items, when Mawdrey was new I was selling Plates of Meaty Plant Food for 10g-15g each. Now I’m lucky to get 1g for it because the people still wanting to buy them are more willing to be patient and so pay less.)
