I saved 9 pvp boxes i got from my achievement chests and finally i decided to open them with my ranger yesterday to see if there were any items i wanted for her, only to find all items she opened are now bound to her, including all the stuff she cannot even use, such as heavy armor and various weapons. So now, I have 1 full panel in my bank of pvp gear that no one can use?

When i first started getting these achievement chests and pvp boxes from them, i opened a few and i don’t remember having this issue.

Is this a bug or working as intended? If latter, it don’t make sense at all.

On a side note, why don’t we have a bank in the Mist? it’s kind of bad having to leave and come back each time you need something stored in your bank that’s related to pvp.

No!!!!! LOL. , you got it all backwards! hahaha

Ok, you can deposit ALL those armors to the PvP wardrove, just like you would depost materials in PvE (something we could definitely use for PvE!!) , they become account bound! Once you go to the mist, where the NPC that sell the weapos and armor, there are some “doors” to the right, that is the wardrove! Check it out today when you get a chance, you will say “WHY DONT WE HAVE THIS CONVINIENT THING IN PVE?!”

Hope that helps

Any items you deposit into the PvP wardrobe become account bound. Then they switch to soul bound when you take them out again.

It’s an odd system but it does mean you can swap any PvP gear between characters.

I’m aware of the auto deposit of pvp gear to the pvp locker, however if u get a duplicate of something it won’t stack up, that is why i was saving the boxes till i had time to gear up my alts etc.

When my ranger opened the boxes, i was at the locker in the Mists and deposited all the stuff that would go in, but the remainder that wouldn’t go in now says it’s bound, I assume to my ranger as she’s the only one who handled the stuff.

As already stated, I’ve deposited all that would go into the locker and the rest i assumed were duplicates, so i stored them in normal bank for my alts to go thru and see if there’s anything they wanted. I just checked the stuff with my warrior as there was some heavy armor pces there, but she couldn’t withdraw any of them coz it says bound to another character on all of the items. How can something get bound to a character if they are unable to even equip them or wear them? And why should it get bound to a char simply for opening the box?

Edit: and its not as if know what’s in the box till we open it, so we can decide which char/class should open it.

Try removing the duplicate heavy items from the PvP locker with your warrior then switch characters and have that one send the items in the bank to the PvP locker.

OMG! tnx for the suggestion, but are u serious? If that’s the only solution, I don’t think I’ll bother, what a mess! I think I’ll just delete them.

Oh yeah, you can’t deposit duplicates.

If you want to use those pieces on an alt withdraw the ones you’ve already got in the PvP locker, then you’ll be able to deposit the ones your ranger is holding.

Alternatively if you don’t want 2 copies you can use a PvP salvage kit to turn them into materials for the Mystic Forge.

For whatever reasons the items don’t stack in the PvP locker so either delete, pick up on another character or try to mystic forge them in the PvP area.

I think when they designed the locked system they weren’t expecting anyone to want multiple identical copies of PvP gear.

Unless you want to use the same skin on more than one character there’s really no point in having 2 or more. And if you do want the same skin on multiple characters all you need to do is withdraw one and then deposit the other.
