When you look at some of the charr’s vehicles, a motorcycle would not be out of place lore wise.

Maybe the lack of riding items, like brooms and carpets, is due to a lack of interest. I’m just speculating, because I have literally no idea how well the current items sold, but it seems like not a lot of people use their brooms or carpets. Which leads me to assume not a lot of people bought them. So I would then assume Anet wouldn’t bother to make more item skins if no one seems interested in getting them.
But this, again, is 100% assumption. There could be a ton of reasons why they don’t. Maybe they just haven’t gotten around to making more mount-like items yet, but plan to. I don’t know.
But I think a motorcycle would fit right in. We literally turn into (“remote control”) one in one of the HoT adventures.

I would support this, but not for the PC in open-world. Too unfriendly to the game and its lore, as well as its direction. It would be a funny addition to see the Charr have races on the bikes on a track similar to how Moa racing worked, or have a PC-controlled minigame of the sorts.

And then they could call it NASCHARR.

Yah, set me up with a Charr Bike that looks like some kind of rusty steam punk chopper, or a sleek Asura hover bike kind of design, I’d buy that. Carpets and brooms are simply not appealing to me. If I am going to spend money on a cosmetic mount, I want it to look wicked.

I know it’s probably not the best idea ever, but… I have to admit… awww, my main would look so kitten on a motorbike, a cute girl in a pink dress, with high heels, on a huge, black roaring motorbike. You know what to do if you want my money, Anet.

OP is not asking for a mount…. Just a travel toy. But yes there are Charr siege motorcycles. A scaled down version for a travel toy would be sweet.

From what I understand (think it was from a dev response) they aren’t going to include these sorts of mounts for the same reason they can’t easily add chairs in-game.

Because you can make characters all sorts of different heights, it would be hard to make a mount that looks reasonable on all races. Leg proportions (in relation to height) vary across the races, so it’s not just a case of scaling the mount up or down depending on the character.

So this is why we have mounts that don’t have “foot holds” such as the magic carpet and riding broom- characters can sit/stand however they want on these and it won’t look odd as there’s no limitation on how they have to sit on it.

I know that ain’t a motorcycle, but in FF14 the Magitech machine things worked fine with all races. You just had to zoom in hard to see there is a Lalafell driving. But else..

Someone get the Iron Legion on this, stat.

Bonus points if there’s a cool mount/dismount animation when you get hit by something or get OOC with the new travel buff.
